Aaaand the rest is history, folks.
This is how big törtle came to be! Hope you enjoyed this mini inside look into the design process, and that you can now see Tortenite in a new light.

On the new type Tortenite gains, Alex told me: "Since the Toxic type was kicking in, we added the details to the tail, and the almost black tones to the shell. We went with black simply because that's how the Toxic type is depicted in the Temtem universe."

Designing tems is often guided by the feel of it, and that's hard to put into words. "Arms and legs grow longer, and the shell got thicker. We were aiming for a design that felt imposing and cool, and, again, it was a pretty direct process."

"Reaching Tortenite's design was kind of straightforward because it's a 3rd stage evo and we already know where we're going by then", says Alex, its designer.
Why is it standing, to the frown of some? "It's so it can look at the player from above. We wanted it to be towering."

Tortenite seems to be the fave final stage, and I though: how should I celebrate this victory for the turtle department? So I sat down with its designer and asked about the process, including the questions you guys had!
