[2020] Game crashed. No saves. Why is there no saving?

If the game crashes you should have your saved game backup that the game creates automatically every 20 minutes.

If you are taling about the non save option inside the game, Iron man mode is a game feature. This option has been largerly discussed here. You can use the search tool to check those threads.

I did end up having a recent enough saved game but, it crashed 3 times at roughly the same point which is the reason for my frustration. I do not need to look through the other discussions to know it's a valid concern and I will most likely largely support the opinions already expressed. Why is it so crucial to prevent quality of life improvements? The overall difficulty isn't being increased that much and limitations can be implemented to keep difficulty roughly in the same place. The fact it's missing entirely at every difficulty is my criticism of poor implementation. Right now I can still save scum. I can cheat. I can easily go around measures currently in place and I am positive people have already done these exact things. The current system is all or nothing while ultimately preventing nothing and the people who would benefit the most from basic quality of life features like saving are average players who just want to play the game they purchased.

We have a specific part of the forum made for bug reporting. If you are suffering an issue with your game crashing its better way reporting the problem and try to solve it. Maybe if the game works perfectly you can enjoy the game in the proper way and you should haven't any complains.
