[2020] Resolutions options, Font sizes

So, I go into some configxxx file and have a look at fonts, because those are the lengths consumers have to go to to get their product to work. But, font is just set to 1.0, and no abnormalities as far as I can tell.

How much further does this consumer have to go to get this to function? Can anybody help?

When I launch the editor, the word "file", "testing" and "help" are so large you could easily spot it from outer space without any visual aids.

Similarly, other descriptions, captions, buttons etc are so large they push into each other's area, effectively making anything impossible to read. There are no options to change this. I've searched everywhere but there are no answers. It's almost exactly like setting the font size of windows to 500% or something.
