[2019] Assault Rifle - Submachine Gun - Single shot?

Am I the only one bothered by the this? I mean...why? If developers lack interest to get these basic things right..it is no surprise so many other elements didnt get the love they require.

Why not just name it Soldier, calle the tech "Rifle" and say in help text "they use a Rifle". Some pure text changes and you're good.
