Attack towers that you join to your army during the play don't affect to the achievement. You should get this achievement.

And about the sniper achievement you should get it too.

Yes, I finished the survival game today, it was a monumental effort because I ultimately trained 1100+ snipers, but I got both the achievements! I'm glad to get them. Next up, the ranger achievement (oh boy...). I'm glad the shocking tower zapping at infected did not cost me the chance for the achievements.
