Hi,

At the moment it is only possible to paint the standard car.
the new car seems to have other parts so old cars are
a: not recognized / the standard model shows up..
b: show up, but are not paintable /show no textures
c: let the game crash when you try to paint them.

please dear devs, share you knowledge and give us tools to convert / import, create models that are paintable / textureable - and driveable

Hello!

We will ask the dev team to investigate this. Would it perhaps be possible to provide images, or a video to present the issue?

Regarding you suggestion to have more customisation functions - I will forward that as a suggestion for you

Thank you!

we need a import tool for tm2020 and a idea on how the parts should be named etc...
a simple "Mincraft car" with all parts and names would be very helpfull.
(textures, meshes, import tool and a quick how to)

some models from tm turbo are playable, but not with all details ( veryhigh etc) -- but - they are not painted. even when the original textures are in the zip file.
Thank you for sharing this. Is it possible to also show a video with the models that are playable just so we can get the whole picture?

i have seen 3 different behaviors
1. car works, but it not paintable
2. car shows up , is not paintable but has too many faces i guess ? -so only locally working
3.car not working at all , standard car is shown.

find a couple of carsamples here:
http://ts.covertstrike.org/zip/vehicles/
they are named after usable , etc ...
3 zip files each including a couple of cars.
Thank you for explaining the behaviors you have encountered.

Is it possible to share a video with the models that are playable just so we can get the whole picture?

Many thanks in advance

Hey there,

I have an update on this for you from the game team themselves.

Different 3D-model skins aren't supposed to be used with the new Trackmania. So only the standard car model in the game is supposed to be used, where players can make different skins for. Any models from previous Trackmania might work, like the videos show, but this isn't something we official support for the game.

I am sorry that this is not the news you wanted to hear but I do hope that this helps clear things up.
