| 991s | well the 17th just because we had our |
| 993s | Witch Saga update which was super fun |
| 995s | super exciting uh it was really great to |

| 1001s | myself and our producer Zach reading |
| 1003s | through the patch notes and you know he |
| 1005s | gave some pretty great context as to |
| 1007s | everything that came with the update so |

| 1010s | our YouTube uh but yeah today uh what |
| 1013s | I'm gonna be doing as the title kind of |
| 1015s | says is that I haven't played survival |
| 1017s | mode in a long time on stream so I'm |
| 1019s | gonna play some survival mode solo uh |
| 1021s | I'm gonna do a more um explaining |
| 1024s | version of the game so it's as I |
| 1026s | mentioned beginner friendly meaning that |
| 1028s | I'm gonna spend more time uh telling you |
| 1030s | what I'm doing in game and kind of |
| 1032s | explaining what I'm doing and why and |
| 1033s | walking you through it and it's been a |
| 1035s | while since I've played two so it'll be |
| 1037s | a fun little Discovery for me especially |
| 1039s | since we've balanced uh some stuff in |
| 1041s | survival mode compared to before the |
| 1042s | update I'll be talking about those |
| 1044s | changes as we play through |
| 1046s | uh yeah it's gonna be really chill feel |
| 1048s | free to ask questions that you have in |
| 1050s | the chat uh we will also be having as |
| 1052s | mentioned in the tweet and everything |

| 1124s | there's cross play between Xbox and PC |

| 1151s | um it is our fourth major update so |
| 1153s | before that we had a season one The Wolf |
| 1155s | Saga we had season two uh your magunder |
| 1158s | sorry |
| 1159s | serpent Saga with yorman Gunder who is |
| 1161s | the ancient |
| 1163s | um and then we had season three which |
| 1165s | was Inferno Saga which came with Serta |
| 1166s | and then we have the Witch Saga here who |
| 1169s | comes with the lovely hell to fight as |
| 1171s | the ancient |
| 1173s | we had some changes I can catch up |
| 1175s | really really quick on what those were |
| 1176s | uh just very very briefly we have a new |
| 1179s | biome we have niflheim which I'm going |
| 1181s | to try to show you today okay that's the |
| 1182s | goal I'm gonna try to get to nettleheim |
| 1184s | please uh we can do this together I I'm |
| 1187s | confident uh we introduced the new |
| 1189s | ancient which is hell we have those new |
| 1191s | armor sets as you can see in the image |
| 1193s | there and cosmetics as well |
| 1196s | um so armor sets are things you can |
| 1197s | craft in game while Cosmetics are ones |
| 1199s | that you just apply to your character |
| 1201s | they don't have any stats that type of |
| 1202s | thing uh some fun stuff of course we had |
| 1205s | like 10 new runes we had a bunch of new |
| 1207s | materials we had five new starter kits |
| 1209s | we have the three pets |
| 1210s | um that I can make myself disappear for |
| 1213s | there we go uh we have hella Stella we |
| 1215s | have the garmor pup and then Queen hell |
| 1217s | we have four new enemies we have the |
| 1219s | drauger the guardling the yorbangunder |
| 1221s | variant called vile sweater and then the |
| 1223s | squirrel Critter which are not there to |
| 1224s | hurt you they're just there to be cute |
| 1226s | and then if I jump all the way over |
| 1227s | there to the left we have farming which |
| 1230s | you can do in both Saga and survival |
| 1231s | mode we have cross play as just |
| 1233s | mentioned the construction limit had |
| 1236s | improvements so you're able to build |
| 1237s | higher now instead of just five stories |
| 1239s | you can now build to nine which in the |
| 1241s | survival world that I'm creating I |
| 1243s | definitely want to build like a tall |
| 1245s | Treehouse type deal we have the saplings |
| 1248s | which I would also love to find in my |
| 1250s | survival playthrough where it's a new |
| 1252s | challenge I'll explain it once we're in |
| 1254s | game you'll be able to see a little |
| 1255s | better and tons of new improvements the |
| 1257s | whole list is on our website you can |
| 1259s | find it in the patch notes but this is |
| 1261s | just to bundle up everything that came |
| 1263s | with the witch Sega if I miss any of |

| 1353s | the goal is going to be to you know play |
| 1356s | through tell you guys what's going on uh |
| 1358s | what has changed about survival mode I'm |

| 1362s | find the under Gates niflheim is a new |
| 1364s | biome |
| 1365s | I want to find niflheim because I'd be |
| 1367s | fun to like run through there and of |
| 1369s | course to get through there I'm gonna |

| 1446s | to be only Saga mode but now survival |
| 1449s | gives you a boost so I'm gonna go with |
| 1451s | this one because I like starting with a |
| 1452s | hammer uh personally but it's like total |
| 1455s | personal choice |

| 1461s | I'm glad you liked the music in the game |
| 1464s | um I I'd love what they have done with |
| 1466s | the music in the game especially in the |
| 1468s | different biomes how it changes |
| 1473s | oh that's a good question one shot what |
| 1476s | is the what is your favorite weapon in |
| 1478s | the game and one you feel most |
| 1480s | comfortable with well I think that gives |
| 1482s | me a chance to go to the recipe tab so |
| 1484s | if you go to the progress tab this |
| 1486s | recipe tab will tell you like every |
| 1487s | single weapon that's in the game |
| 1490s | I really like the nornier X2 uh because |
| 1493s | I like having you know like the Thunder |
| 1495s | element to it I think it's really good |
| 1497s | for the health things at night it's |
| 1498s | really good in nippleheim because uh |
| 1501s | different elements counteract each other |
| 1502s | so if I'm using like a light weapon |
| 1504s | it'll counteract dark enemies so I |
| 1506s | really like the nornier ax and it is |
| 1508s | fairly easy to get if I go to a line of |
| 1510s | pools and I like kill linars to get |
| 1512s | liner spikes |
| 1514s | uh the only difficult thing is getting |
| 1515s | those mushroom Moon bolts at night |
| 1517s | because it's a night shift material |
| 1519s | uh I'm really liking that I also really |
| 1522s | like the Ember spear too I think it's |
| 1524s | really powerful I like having the kind |
| 1526s | of like range you get with it especially |
| 1528s | when fighting dragger that are in |
| 1529s | nippleheim uh yeah those are I would say |
| 1533s | like those two are sort of my favorite |
| 1535s | weapons right now |
| 1537s | um the feral I always like the fuel |
| 1539s | Hammer as like a starter weapon because |
| 1541s | it doesn't really take much to build it |
| 1542s | you only need to call for thorns |
| 1545s | and silver so it's always a good uh fall |
| 1547s | back too so yeah I'd say those are my |
| 1549s | favorites right now |

| 1575s | there's any workarounds for those issues |
| 1577s | we do have an issue with the Seer class |
| 1580s | right now where sometimes the seedling |
| 1581s | doesn't deploy so I might avoid using |
| 1584s | that skill right now but we'll let you |
| 1586s | know if that changes in the near future |
| 1589s | yeah exactly it is a known issue we're |
| 1591s | working on it um we're doing our best to |
| 1593s | figure out what's happening |
| 1598s | perfect uh my favorite class to play my |
| 1600s | favorite class is |
| 1603s | I want to say zero off the hot but |
| 1604s | honestly I really have been favoring |
| 1606s | Hunter |
| 1607s | so I can also view all the classes here |
| 1608s | which is kind of important to talk about |
| 1610s | so if I click on Hunter you can like |
| 1612s | view all of the skills that are in the |
| 1613s | class I really like Hunter because of |
| 1615s | the fact that it has the decoy so if you |
| 1617s | deploy a decoy when you're rolling it'll |
| 1619s | you know distract the enemies which I |
| 1621s | really like because I have a very like |
| 1623s | risky play style sometimes |
| 1625s | um and then you know when you get that |
| 1627s | blessing Point leveled up you get your |
| 1629s | attack uh decoy now attacks |
| 1632s | and then you also have a wolf so a |
| 1633s | little wolf buddy which a wolf is like |
| 1635s | my favorite animal so you have this wolf |
| 1637s | that goes and attacks enemies too so I |
| 1638s | quite like it you also have the fog of |
| 1640s | War which increases the ability to like |
| 1642s | see in the map which is kind of good |
| 1643s | when you're playing solo too fast |
| 1645s | activation like it's just I really like |
| 1647s | it but everybody's gonna have their own |
| 1648s | favorite class I think at the end of the |
| 1650s | day |
| 1651s | but this is a good uh place here in the |
| 1653s | progress tab to kind of check the |
| 1654s | classes and see what the skills are you |
| 1656s | can also find them on our Wiki we do |
| 1658s | have a Wiki where you can see them all |
| 1661s | uh but yeah this is the progress screen |
| 1663s | it's really handy for figuring out like |
| 1664s | what challenges you have to do |
| 1667s | um to reading up on all the types of |

| 1727s | you can get like different hairstyles |

| 1734s | completely free you just earn these |
| 1736s | Levels by playing the game |
| 1738s | um but I think I'm gonna take off my |
| 1739s | beard for now we're gonna go beardless |

| 1746s | with this hairstyle |
| 1749s | and I like the health thing hair dye I |
| 1750s | like like a purple hair dye that's cool |

| 1860s | volume needs to be adjusted or if the |
| 1861s | game's too loud but there's survival |
| 1863s | mode and there's Last Stand Saga mode |
| 1866s | so I'm going to play Survival mode today |
| 1868s | survival mode is much more relaxed it's |
| 1869s | kind of like an open world you know |
| 1871s | there's no pressure |
| 1872s | um of the Giants walking towards your |
| 1874s | village I think that's one of the |
| 1875s | biggest differentiators uh in Saga mode |
| 1877s | it's more time pressure but it's really |
| 1880s | fun to challenge yourself and there's a |
| 1882s | fimble winter meaning that the day uh |
| 1884s | pinball winter comes you know the world |
| 1886s | will devolve into a frozen landscape and |
| 1889s | at that point you pretty much want to |
| 1890s | buy Frost out but survival mode just |
| 1892s | goes on endlessly |
| 1893s | so I'm going to start my solo world |

| 1908s | oh those are good questions one shot |
| 1911s | these are very good questions |
| 1913s | we'll check and I'm glad we're playing |
| 1914s | survival mode because it gives me more |
| 1916s | time to think about and uh answer the |

| 1922s | um in Saga mode and I was like so |
| 1924s | focused on completing everything that I |
| 1926s | needed to do uh that it was hard to |
| 1928s | multitask I will respond to that in just |
| 1931s | a second so I'm gonna explain a little |
| 1933s | bit so here I've already kind of started |
| 1936s | I'm on day one I've managed to build the |
| 1938s | all Forge so that's this here this is |
| 1940s | what you want to do first so if we're |
| 1942s | talking about like the first five steps |
| 1944s | to take when uh playing for example |
| 1946s | survival mode what I like to do is put |
| 1949s | down my all Forge so to do that you |
| 1951s | press C I'm on keyboard or Mouse here |
| 1953s | right click and then you'll have your |
| 1955s | constructions menu so this is where |
| 1956s | you're going to find all your |
| 1957s | constructions you can find your Mallet |
