The August patch note around this was referring to a different audio issue, but the fix for this is incoming! We want you to hear the beautiful B&BP music too.

We’ve got a fix for this issue currently in testing. It will be hitting PTR and then the live game soon as long as no additional issues are found.

Thanks for calling this out. I’ve updated the patch notes to reflect that:

• Removed innate creature resistances. Creatures will now only have damage type resistances if they have an Affix or they are in a Mutated dungeon.

Revamped Starting Experience

We’ve completely redesigned the early levels of New World, so players who start the game or roll a new character will experience brand new stories and quests. Player feedback on quest variety, AI variety, more streamlined questlines with less running back and forth, and improved storytelling in those early stages of the game helped bring about the following changes:

• Quest flow through zones has been optimized, with NPCs who move around and a central story thread that takes players through each region of the game, unlocking side content to pace out the experience.

As for the chandelier, I definitely see where it looks like it could be a fan. It wasn’t meant to move, but I’ll make the suggestion that it… could.

In terms of the Neried’s category, she’s intended to be a mixture.

In terms of the gust attack, it is meant to be unblockable and apply Rend, but I’m surprised that it would one shot a tank in that gear. Is it truly a one shot, or just potentially stronger than previously? It was temporarily a little easier as we worked out an issue with the Rend continuing to persist after the Expedition, but it is back to how it was initially intended and tested against after the last update.

As a quick update, it looks like this issue should be addressed in our next PTR. While I don’t have a date on when that is, a fix is incoming.

The fix solves for the instances when specific perk’s effects would remain active when swapping away from the weapon if the perk was on an armor piece.

As for the issue with the ceiling fan, are you referring to the Phoenix Chandelier?

The fix for this should hit the next PTR update for testing. I do not currently have the timing for when that is, however. So soon ™. Fix is incoming.

We are aware of the sound issues introduced with this patch and understand that not only is it a little ominous (), it impacts the overall gameplay experience and PvP directly. We’re working to address this!

We are aware of these two issues and are working on a fix. For musical instruments, it should only impact the song “Windsward Inn” at this time, but please let me know if you run into this with any other song.
