Because maps are large and our battles are compressed into a 20 minute or less window of time. We have historic references and themes, but we do try to keep things moving at a steady pace with a compressed format.

Submarines need to ability to redeploy to other areas as flanks fall and shift to allow the player to continue to interact with the game experience.

A Division is counted as a division. I'm unsure if the actual number of people in the division is actually paid attention to, so that's something I would have to ask about.

-

In general, there can only be a difference of 1 Division between the teams:

Example

Team A - 0 Div / Team B - 0 Div
Team A - 0 Divs / Team B - 1 Div
Team A - 1 Div / Team B - 1 Div
Team A - 2 Divs / Team B - 1 Div
Team A - 2 Divs / Team B - 2 Divs

Not even talking about Support Carriers, Bombers are dangerous.

If you are in a DD and see that a squadron of bombers is flying in your direction and will see you shortly, you can smoke before they see you so that they don't see you. This is a perfectly fine thing to do.

If you are ok with them seeing you (because they are AP Bombers, or because you feel confident you can using positioning knowledge to stop them from threatening you), then you can choose not to smoke and get spotted. This is also a perfectly fine thing to do.

The player with the smoke has the choice.

It really is very hard to deal with a Sub in a CV, but you do load into a game with teammates and hopefully you can find positions which can keep them at arms length enough to help fend of a sub that tries to hunt in the backline.

I'll check both of these out and see if there's any assistance I can offer.

Please understand that swearing excessively is a problem both on the forum and in our game. There are games that can be extremely hard to handle, but try to keep it to swearing at your monitor instead of typing it out so everyone has to "hear" it.

I tend to try to keep Surface Detection on a CV about 1 grid-square away from the "frontline" of the enemy forces. Just remember to be ready to bail if your team starts to break and the enemy pushes up.

For Cruisers it's much more situational. This often relies on what Consumables you have (Do you have Radar and need to be in a position to make use of it?) as well as how Armored your ship is or is not.

When it comes to Cruisers and asking specific questions on their play patterns, we have so many different Cruisers that you might want to look up a guide for the ship you're curious about.

Can you be more specific in what you mean? I'm not sure what you're asking.

Hello, everyone!
Update 0.11.2 is here, so please provide any bug reports you may encounter here.

If you're fairly certain you've encountered a bug, we'd like to encourage you to submit it to the Game Support section of the WoWS ticket queues, within a section where bugs are asked for, or to create a post within this sub-forum.

Remove your mods and try again before sending in a bug report as mods tend to be the culprit, YES I know we have made it automatic, I will state it as I am sure someone will find a work around.

DO NOT just move your old mods into the new mods folder, make sure they are updated!

I do ask that you please provide any and all information that you can when reporting an issue.

***Please follow the format below***

Issue: This is where you should explain the problem that you're having. Expected Result: Tell us what should be happening. How to Replicat...

You shouldn't feel overly threatened by submarine torpedoes in a battleship. Their homing ability stops at a far distant away from the ship, so there really does tend to be a lot you can do to mitigate outside of being caught flat-footed and broadside.

I made a video a long time back which explains the mechanics the homing torps use.

It's always tough when you are constantly stuck dealing with things that are low/no damage when a match is just crazy.

That being said, it's great when the team pulls it off because of your efforts <3 Congrats!

The UK line is the same as it ever was. It's tanky, but suffers from Pen issues. It's not a highly praised line because it's very Matchmaker dependent in that you don't get to choose what ships you play against and you need weakly armored ships to threaten.

As for the Midway, I cannot agree with your concern. She is a solid choice in terms of general capabilities and has HE Bombs which can be a threat to destroyers.

In general, the 12 vs 12 of Randoms typically follows this formula:

1) Teams tend to split to each outer area. This is usually 6 to one side and 6 to the other (going middle is often death)

2) The first 4-7 minutes are "The Early Game" where "trading" is important. That means picking your choices and trying to only do something when it hurts the enemy more than it hurts you. If you trade well, the enemy will be hurt more over the next several minutes and either lose ships or retreat as they grow weak.

3) The next 7ish minutes are "The Mid Game" where "taking advantages" is important. This could be either you using your winning trades to take ground and good positions, or this could be you retreating if you're side is weaker. Try not to run full speed and instead slow the enemy's advance if you are being pushed back

4) The rest is "The Late Game" where "salvaging what you can" comes into play. This is where you try...

Does that mean:

Battles which Tier X ships exist in?

or

Battles which Tier X is the biggest ship? (assuming Supers are special/bigger)

As I understand it, Tier 9 being Bottom Tier in the match should trigger the 40% rule. If there's an issue and that isn't happening, please let us know so we can look into it.
