In her case, she was out of alignment with other ships. So in order to standardize her with the rest of the ships, a method was created to allow previous owners to retain her higher earning while newer players had the more standard rates.

Worth noting that the Combat Mission she has gives an extra +30% Credits, which is the equivalent of an additional flag. In some ways, that's not small, in other ways it's not large. Still, as an outlier, it was standardized before she was returned and available for purchase.

---

Also worth noting. I wasn't around when she was available originally, but I've been told that she was strong in more areas then just her credit gain back at the time when she was available. The removal wasn't purely about credits back when it happened.

The game changed and those advantages became less pronounced as time wore on, so the concept of returning her had to address the remaining outlier in the ...

This has been pinned in my Discord for a while

As for other AP information. Pen values aren't posted in port, so they're often data-mined by players as things come out.

While it'd be easier to get it from an official source, it's never bad to have some player-community investigative fun as well. Some players enjoy the sleuthing!

You'll be pleased to hear that we don't.

Popularity being high or low can be an indicator of a problem. However, popularity itself is not a sole metric used in balancing purposes, so it's not about Buffing/Nerfing X or Y Class because there's some magic number to strike.

The was a massive community concern that the CV Rework would be buffed to hit player population targets, and yet CVs have continually been nerfed for years. Ultimately, the game being healthy means the game will continue to grow and be played.

They are 219mm in Pen value.

One other thing to note is that Tier 10 used to have higher Service Costs than they do now.

Aircraft Carriers used to have a 240,000 credit/match Service Cost, and other ships had "Premium Consumables" which could be numerous on ships like the Worchester.

---

These numbers being revised down through Service Cost reduction and Consumable standardization doesn't necessitate the invention of a new Tier to add credit bleed.

This was done in Patch 0.9.4:

The Bank of Zath (Lord Zath has huge amounts of stuff) could simply elect to play Tier 6's and 7's. His mountain of credits may never be spent, as there is no NEED to play high-end things and only high-end things.

In this way, the cost of "Tier 11" would have no impact on a player unless they chose to play on a lower-reward tier, which is the same as playing middle-tier which yields lower rewards anyway.

---

I understand the link people are making, but not the extra step that this can "fix" the economy as everything is
a) Opt-In/Opt-Out - You don't have to play them
b) Set low enough to still award credits from playing the game

They are unlocked and available to be completed now. Unlike a Dockyard event, or the Novorossiysk event which had a time-delay lock between stages.

A player mathed out that you would have 6 days after attaining the Repulse in a free-to-play manner to work your way through all the tasks. That's... not a small ask from what I'm seeing. It's doable, but it doesn't look very fun.

That being said, if a player purchased some stages so they could grind out the Marlborough, then the Repulse unlocks faster and the time allotted is around 15 days, which is a significant difference.

They are all available and not Time Locked in a strict sense.

They are locked behind the Repulse. While that's a timed access ship for a Free-to-Play style, it's available early for those who wish to spend Doubloons on the Dockyard.

The descriptions read accurately, but I can understand the annoyance on...

As someone else stated, each pack is made on its own and can be altered in price later.

As for now, I'd recommend buy the one that 50% off if you want to purchase the ship~

Sure, but if Tier 10s cost 180,000 Credits/match to use, having a x2 would indicate 360,000 Credits/match. This disincentives constant play, as the payout post-match would be less. However, it's far from:

a) A way to "save" the economy.

b) "Gold Ammo" which is unusable outside of mailing your wallet to WarGaming.

I keep reading that this is an attempt to "rebalance the economy" as though it's altering the entire game, which seems rather drastic and strange.

I can assure you that you aren't alone in hating the change.

Many folks that attended my stream and discord have completely quit CV after the Rocket Change out of protest. They felt it was unnecessary and will not be swayed.

Personally, I understood the change. While I hate feeling defenseless against a DD I can't deal with (my rocket aim can be off or my planes can be low late-game), I can at least understand the give-and-takes in the system and do the best I can with what I have.

As with all things, some ships do better at X or Y then others. German CVs don't have HE Bombers.

The ability to HE bomb with US planes, or Skip Bomb with Russian planes is a national strength as should be understood as such. It doesn't translate to all CVs.

I try to explain processes and concepts we use to help players better understand things. However, please know that when I say something it has the burden of someone assuming it's coming directly as a Statement From On High. As such, I'm not able to give you a Devblog-like amount of information on what we do and why we do it.

As to your point about maps/game experience feeling emptier with subs, this is a feedback point which has been tracked for months. Some players suggested increasing the player count per match as a remedy, for instance. Ultimately, the maps that are in-game right now are the maps that exist to be played on. If/when subs become an official part of the game, maps can created/altered in ways that fit more dynamically with expected player situations. However, that's something way off in the future because right now Subs are merely being tested.

As to being data-driven, I don't have any form...

This grind is unpleasant, yeah. However, it was done this way after removing some XP required off the T4 to T6 grind to help get players out of Tier 4 faster and reduce the amount of double CV matches happening.

So, here's the basic gist.

It's ok for a Ship Class to have Strengths and Weaknesses. Battleships are Capital Ships are are considered "weak" against Destroyers, both for spotting reasons and torpedo threat mainly

Carriers are also Capital Ships and were powerful at dealing with All Threat Types. Not ALL THREATS, but Types. Enemies that were grouped with overlapping AA can be extremely expensive in terms of Plane Resources used when striking for instance.

As for Destroyers, the Broadside Reticle Rework mostly fixed the problem. HOWEVER, newer and less experienced DD players still weren't getting the message as to how Rockets work, so the Machine Gun animation does two functions at once:

a) It provides the attacked player with an indication of what to expect (the firing pattern is broadside)
b) It provides the attacked player with a small window of time to make a last minute movement/adjustment.

I understand the connection people are making to possible high Service Costs, but why the extension that this is about rebalancing the overall economy of the game? What's wrong with players having too much credits?

All the middle tiers are extremely forgiving/credit independent in their play. Why does a high Service Cost of a high-tier ship indicate that the entire economy is an issue?

Also, you might not be aware... I'm a Hurricane-level CV player that has taught CV play for the past 1.5 years.

If you have me confused with someone that dislikes CVs, you shouldn't harbor that idea.
