Please have them test as host anyway.

Ck2 is free to play on Steam now, so that's a good test too.

And finally, when you start Eu4 there are 3 MP options shown, Please try all 3!

This is just in this one save, is that right? You can start and play other colonies okay?

Once you kill it and exit, can you load it up and continue? Or it freezes at the same spot?

Immediately after the next such crash, Please attach here the latest (ONLY!) game log file, from here:
C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\logs\
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

Plus, DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Does it matter who is host?

Does this also affect CK2 and HOi4?

I didn't even know that was supposed to be saved, if so where exactly. I gues you can save and load save games okay? Game settings changes such as resolution or sound volume?

I wouldn't suggest it unless it was of diagnostic help. It distinguishes between a problem on this machine, and something wrong in your Paradox or Xbox account.

In Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3 you'll see last_save.ck3 . Copy that file to the /save games/ folder there, does that get you going again?

Not sure what you mean there, but can you try it on another computer?

I think so too, especially if you still get that error I quoted above. Sorry about that! Probably time to contact nVidia.

Very odd, that usually works. Like the other user here already has, can you try it on another computer?

P4CH said: I have same situation, CK3 form Gamepass, DLC purchased and installed, but CK3 launcher doesn't see DLC (no DLC card). On another PC it is working fine. Does it mean then DLC from MS Store works only on one PC?
No, it means there's something wrong in Windows on that PC (if you went through my procedure above and it did not help), most likely n the MS store/gamepass/ Xbox account area. I frankly don't know what to even try in that situation!

Ah, that is usually an antivirus app getting in the way. What antivirus app do you use? You need to make sure all these apps are in its exceptions lists:

stellaris.exe and dowser.exe (in the Steam Stellaris folder)
C:/users//AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2.2022.9/paradox launcher.exe
C:/users//AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/bootstrapper-v2.exe

IF that doesn't help, also set each of those .exe files (EXCEPT stellaris.exe !) to run as the Windows Admin user.

Then the game should run from Steam/our launcher, and enable all the DLCs.

I've just run both saves on another machine for several Sols, no hangs or other problems at all. Given what you've done I frankly have no idea what could be causing this to you.

In the game's Display option, check that Vsync is on and frame rate limited to 60.

If that looks okay Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 10 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN ... Read more

There is indeed a problem with your nVidia driver or card:
Fault bucket LKD_0x141_Tdr:6_IMAGE_nvlddmkm.sys_Pascal, type 0
Event Name: LiveKernelEvent
Please try this:

- uninstall that driver and all other nVidia software
- reboot
- install late June 2022 by fresh download https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
- reboot again

Good luck! ... Read more

did get this from one affected Gamepass user:

In case anyone else had issues when they purchased the season pass from gamepass.
The season pass shows no downloads and the dlc by itself looks like you need to purchase it.
Click the dlc and click the purchase.
It’ll change and say you own this already.
Click the same box that now says you own this already and it’ll ask you to download it.
Do the download and boom it finally adds
You need to do it for both northern and RC downloads.

Please let us know if that helps you!

Looking at that error log it seems to be an issue with the video card or driver, obviously standard settings like that shouldn't crash anything.

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Okay, I think you are saying you can play a new campaign for some hours okay, but then it starts freezing. When that first happens, an exit and reload freezes again after 1 minute. Is that the situation?

Regardless I couldn't get either save to freeze for me. Do you have access to any other machine to try them on?

Save file? So this is only happening in one particular campaign, is that the case? You can start and play a new one okay?

And, you don't seem to have set the refresh rate to 60 as I suggested? Please try that.

You say no mods but there are some mod errors in there?

After the crash, can you play on with that campaign or it crashes at the same point?

Is this just happening in that one save game? Or in any other campaign you might play too?

And finally, was this campaign started under 1.6.1.2 or some earlier patch?

I'm still somewhat puzzled - the game in the OP freezes in 1 minute but you managed to finish it somehow? But now the game takes hours instead of 1 minute to freeze?

You cannot delete games from your Steam account, only Steam can do that.

It will still be in your Steam library to install and play.
