That is correct, so I can only assume you have a firewall issue. Have all players opt into the Crossplay test branch, now in the Steam Betas tab for this game. Do you get the same problems?

If it happens again, probably best to make a new thread in Bug Reports and attach affected saves there.

Are you all using the Steam version? Or is anyone on the MS store/gamepass edition?

What version and checksum shows in the MP lobby screen for you?

If you delete that error log do those file corruption errors come back in the new one?

Looking at the end of that error log you appear to have several corrupted save files in fact. No real idea what could cause that!

Any mods in use?

We are aware of an issue where some customers can't login/stay signed in with their Paradox account which then results in being unable to play multiplayer. With the latest path it solved it for a vast majority of players but sadly not everyone >
Rest assured we're investigating this further and both the CKIII and tech team are trying to figure out the cause (and a solution!) but sadly there isn't a confirmed workaround for the time being :(. We have three possible workarounds that may solve it:

Disable IPv6
- Close CK3
- Go to Control Panel > View Network status and tasks > Change adapter settings (left side)
- Find your Hamachi Connection and Disable it
- Find your Internet connection adapter (for me, it was WiFi)
- Right click your internet adapter and select properties
- Scroll down to find "Internet Protocol Version... Read more

Yes, I mean the first 7 lines of that log. There are many fewer errors in that one than the previous one, but that may just be due to only running the game briefly.

I don't there's a lot more you and I can do here. It may be that QA simply do not test the game with immortal characters. I'm not familiar enough with the gameplay of this game to know - is that a standard option or something you have to mod in, or use debug mode to achieve?

Then I'm not sure why you get those errors in that log? Because they sure look like mod or bad installation sorts of issues ... if you delete that error log and try the game again, do you still see those?

We don't move threads to Bug Reports, as when you make a new thread there there's a form to fill out to make sure all needed details are supplied.

Assuming logs2 is the later test, there are lots of unexpected errors in there , quite aside from the mod error! Probably best to do a clean reinstall including mod removal, to clarify matters.

- undo any hardware overclocking you have enabled
- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- unsubscribe from ALL mods in the Steam workshop for this game
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3 folders
In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam CK3 or Documents CK3 locations, before installing again.

- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you ha... Read more

I have no idea what to suggest on this one. Maybe a mod that changes the notification sound?

Thanks for the very detailed post! However if you feel this is a game bug then the place for it is the Bug Reports forum, not here - we could only help if this was a game installation or Windows/computer settings issue. Bugs can only be fixed with patches, not the kind of tweaks we can do here.

Have you tried opting into the beta of the next patch 1.4.5 , now in the Steam betas tab for this game? If not you could try that, best to start a new campaign under that patch for the sake of it being a good test.

I'm willing to look into logs from a run with a completely unmodded campaign that is having the problem, if you can acquire those.

IMO you don't want fps over 120 with this game, as you are pushing the GPU for no game purpose; as a non-action game any more fps has no benefit. And you risk overheating the GPU.

So aside from high fps rates what kind of things are you looking to improve?

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log .

I am not opted in in a single beta. Why would I lie if just opting out would stop this from happening? I can't, I am NOT opted in into a beta. In none of my games. And I will not uninstall all my games just to have a possible problem witht he subscription process on your side being cleared.

It's unacceptabel that you aggressively try to force the problem on my side. Doesn't help me, doesn't help you. Nor does it help Paradox in this case to improve a core software.

In the game launcher please set Display mode to Borderless.

That will probably fix it all by itself.

Do you mind if I see a screenshot of that? Thanks!

Are you aware that Ironman mode does not do autosaves as such? What it does is overwrite the save file name that you gave it when you started the campaign. It does that on significant events in the game such as declaring war, ruler death, etc. So you cannot expect a literal 'autosave' file to be there, only the campaign save file. All our games are like this.

This is nothing to do with the games or Steam. You have opted into the beta of the launcher, there is no other way to get that 2021.7 version you have.

In Launcher Settings there is a slider for that.

The steps are the same on MacOS except for the antivirus part.

**File Locations on Mac OS X**
The executable and DLC folder are in Users/USER/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Crusader Kings III/
To see it go to the Finder, hit command-shift-G (ie Go To) and type in ~/Library/ .
The user files (settings.txt, error logs, saved games, gfx, mods) are in /Users/USER/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/ .
