I se that even if logged into the launcher you are again asked to login within the game. But that did work for me. What happened when you tried to login within the game?

Anything over 80c is still a problem IMO! I'd suggest you look into your cooling system as I described above.

I'll report that to Paradox on Monday too. But if (as it says there) this affects other games, not just ours, it's hardly likely to be our issue ... !

Please do so in future, as similar symptoms don't necessarily mean the same root cause.

Lots of errors in that log, plus mention of bad mods. In dxdiag we see crashes in the Radeon software, so I'll try to cover all those possibilities here.

- uninstall the AMD driver and Radeon etc with this tool

I wish I had more to share but we literally have no idea why GFN have taken these games offline. Seems they are not being any more responsive to us than to the players!

Friday is a public holiday in Sweden but I'll take it up again on Monday. Sorry about this!

Let me know if changing hosts helps.

And when it crashes do you get OOS errors on the screen or what happens exactly?

That is the cause of your problem then! I will guess that's your GPU temp, not CPU, would that be right?

You are running in windowed mode and vSync on, so the game will be at 144hz , the same as your Windows desktop. If you put it in fullScreen mode, disable Vsync, and cap the fps at 60 does that temp reduce to be below 80c the whole time?

If it is still too hot when run like that you likely have a hardware problem. Clean out all air vents it has (compressed a... Read more

Do you get sound in CK2 and CSL okay?

In March you would have been on game version 1.3.1 . If you revert to that now does it have this problem or not?

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log

Has this always happened ever since you've had this game? Or only since when?

When you say your screen goes black, do you mean the monitor turns off? Or the computer hangs or powers off? Or what exactly? What do you have to do to recover?

I have no idea what could possibly cause that very specific problem, I am sorry. Has this always happened with these players, or it was okay up to some point?

Does it matter who is host?

Any mods in use?

They show after forced reboots or downings, a controlled shut down will not (or at least should not) register as one of those.

Anyway glad we got there, I have seen Windows updates that failed to apply cause this to our games but I frankly have no idea why.

All the best!

I'm afraid this is pretty clearly a hardware fault, most likely a CPU or memory stick:

Windows Error Reporting:
+++ WER0 +++:
Fault bucket 0x124_0_GenuineIntel_PROCESSOR_Mae_BANK4_MSCOD0080_MCACOD0400_AR_PCC_UC_IMAGE_GenuineIntel.sys, type 0
Event Name: BlueScreen
You could try a clean wipe and reinstall of Windows, but I think a trip to the hardware shop is likely to be necessary.

Sorry that's happened to you!

We are aware of an issue where some customers can't login/stay signed in with their Paradox account which then results in being unable to play multiplayer. With the latest patch it solved it for a vast majority of players but sadly not everyone >
Rest assured we're investigating this further and both the CKIII and tech team are trying to figure out the cause (and a solution!) but sadly there isn't a confirmed workaround for the time being :(. We have two possible workarounds that may solve it:

Disable IPv6
- Close CK3
- Go to Control Panel > View Network status and tasks > Change adapter settings (left side)
- Find your Hamachi Connection and Disable it
- Find your Internet connection adapter (for me, it was WiFi)
- Right click your internet adapter and select properties
- Scroll down to find "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)... Read more

I agree it is not temps, and unlikely to be drivers by this point.

IMO a better approach would be to take it to a hardware shop and have it looked into, especially if you can demonstrate the problem to them.

It is very unusual for the temps to be the same or lower in the game than idle ... you might try using another app to cross-check those, such as Speccy.

I see you have some VR hardware active, can you try unplugging that as a test?

And you have a lot of LiveKernelEvent entries in that dxdiag's error list. They mean the machine is being downed or rebooted forcibly for some reason - are they associated wth this game? or something else?

If you run the Windows Update app does it find anything to apply? If so please do that and reboot.

And finally is any hardware overclocked?

By posting here you get the same people you did in your support tickets, just so you know!

I am still of the opinion you have a hardware issue with your machine. Have you had that checked out?

For the missing DLC please lodge a support ticket at paradox.zendesk.com

I have not been able to find out anything about these games allegedly being offline for maintenance. Can we ask you to please contact GFN support and see what they say about that?
