It definitely sounds like the glitched out networks issue. Perhaps the ghost fences weren't connected where it seemed. Sometimes finding where they actually are can be a right pain!

With Move It's marquee tool set it to just nodes and segments, and then expand the menu to deselect different network types. You want only fences on there. Then zoom out as far as you can and select large areas of your city, use Move It to delete the selected fences and see if your ghost fences disappear. If not, undo the delete and move on to a new area.

If they do disappear, undo and look through everything selected to find something that looks out of place. Might be a node in the middle of nowhere, might be fences ending weirdly. If you don't spot something out of place, repeat the selecting/delete in a smaller area until you find the ghost fences.

Hmm, I think sharing your save is the easiest way for us to help figure out what's up here. You can do that by going into the Content Manager, then find the Savegames category and select your save. Click the Share butten, give it a name and description if you'd like and then click Upload. Then copy the url of the page that appears and post it here.

Otherwise try lowering the speed limits on the road you don't want the pink on. If I remember right, bus routes pick the fastest route just like other vehicles.

Did it not help to check the option to allow busses to ignore lane arrows? Try moving a stop on the pink line back and forth after checking that option. That'll force the line to update.

The blue line has a stop on the side street that would force it not to take the round. Can you see the stop?

Yeah, but the point still remains, that the OP could also be refering to the blue one. While it has a stop that explains it, that doesn't mean our guess that it's the pink one is correct. :)

Most likely the stop forces it into a turn lane, that takes it on the detour. In TMPE check the option to allow busses to ignore lane arrows.

The entire output log would be really handy. The bit you have linked doesn't really show anything useful. Can you upload it somewhere, where the file is available for download? It's just easier to go through for me if it's a raw text file. Here's a few sites that'll let you do that and which require no sign up. :)

https://uploadfiles.io/ - free, no sign-up, can handle large log files
https://paste.ee/ - fast, no sign-up required (some log files will be too large for it though)
https://zerobin.net/ - bit clunky, but can handle huge files, no sign-up required

Definitely check the vehicle limit. I might be completely wrong, but it's so easy to check and there's not really any point in us wasting time doing more troubleshooting if that's it. So best to exclude it as a cause now before we dive in deeper. :)

They reset the game to how it is without mods or workshop content, which is useful for figuring out where the problem is. Bugs show up with the launch option, while mod issues do not. :)

Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing?

Does it also happen if you add the launch options -noWorkshop and -disableMods and start a new city?

To add launch options:
- Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
- Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button.
- Enter the launch options you wish to apply (be sure to separate each code with a space) and click OK.
- Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.

That sounds like your city is hitting the vehicle limit. You can check that with a mod like CSL Show More Limits.

To deal with that you will need to provide more public transport, so your citizens aren't driving everywhere. The more mass transit, t... Read more

If you can post your output_log.txt (called player.log on Mac and Linux), I'd be happy to take a look at your mods and give some guesses to which ones might be affecting things.

Here's where to find the log depending on your operating system. To easily find the local files for the game, right click your game in the Steam library, select Properties, go to the Local Files tab and select Browse local files.

Windows
\SteamApps\common\Cities_Skylines\Cities_Data\output_log.txt

Mac OS X

Linux

I noticed one old mod, that you will want to unsubscribe and get a newer version of:
- Advanced Toolbar - I recommend More Advanced Toolbar or Resize It instead

I also recommend you try and get rid of the need for [ Backward Compatibility ] New Roads For Network Extension 2. The mod is not maintained consistantly, and if it breaks at some point and doesn't get updated, your city will not be able to load. It's better to use roads from the Roads category instead of this mod. Network Extensions 2 also offer some of these roads.

As for the error, let's try and clear all citizens and vehicles. That should reset all paths and hopefully solve it. To do that go into Options before loading your city. Then find the Loading Screen Mod on the left, and under options for it find the Safe Mode options. Enable both options to clear citizens and vehicles. Then load your city.

If that does the trick, make sure to turn those options off again. If not, upload the log... Read more

You will probably have better luck getting an answer on the official forums, which has a part dedicated to the console edition. I'm not sure we have many console players on here.
