My EA account is Maniacal_Ginger if you would like to take a look at its state / account details.

In a nutshell: playing fine , I complete all missions on my own> squad up and play dungeon fine, > attempt to assist friend with mission and suddenly I can’t log in for the rest of the demo. Definitely seems a big coincidence. I’d wager good money this is one cause of 95% freezing!!

I went from being able to play fairly reliably to not at all. I suspect something altered my account state so it couldn’t reload into a new expedition. Can you please confirm you’ve seen this :)

Hey ManiacalGinger, thank you for the additional info that is awesome. Unfortunately I don't have access to the tools necessary to look into specific accounts. That being said I know the team is actively looking into this now. Not sure if there's a good eta or identified fix yet.

I have just one suggestion; private Freeplay.

It is so hard to get a squad coordinated irl and the squad slots in an expedition fill up immediately in a public space, so private Freeplay is basically necessary to allow your mates to join you in a session in progress.

Cheers and keep up the great work!

Ugh that is so awesome Nfujinaka I can’t wait for my kids to be old enough to play with me. What a cool experience.

I actually did run into a similar situation with my friends in freeplay where we had to back out, form a party, and re-enter freeplay. That’s not a bad idea but I have no idea how much work it would be. Thank you for the suggestion.

Is there any news from you guys about improved performance? I would love to hear that this is all going to be a distant memory for the open beta and full release.

Hey Phabio thanks for the comment.

This one is tough to answer because it’s difficult (at least for me) to quantify what optimization we’ve done in the time since this Demo build was branched.

I mentioned this in another comment but hardware optimization and performance testing is part of our regular dev cycle, though primarily on the engineering/programming/VFX side of things. We had a lot of hardening tasks focused on all of these after Alpha. That isn’t to say we got it right, or that we are where we need to be, but I imagine that we will talk about performance a lot this week to see where we’re at now versus where we were with this build.

Hey Joker, when you say optimize for PC which aspect are you referring to specifically? Like performance on your actual hardware? Just want to make sure I’m capturing your sentiment correctly because I’ve also heard optimize PC flight controls or optimize the UI.

Colossus can’t currently use pistols hrmmm... but that’s a cool idea.

Yes short for resurrect/repair, sorry old gamer habits die hard.

So on the part itself it will say “Universal” or the name of the specific Javelin it buffs. Any of the universal ones can be swapped between javelins yes.

As for specific inscriptions that buff a javelin (+ grenade damage), in some cases those are actually incorrect text descriptions and should be applying to any javelin’s corresponding slot (LB/L1/Q) or (RB/R1/E). Believe this is something we’re looking into now but it should be a more generic description that reflects how it applies increases to any javelin.

The loading problems aside, (we were able to work around those with the exit and reload trick), the gameplay was super fun and we are looking forward to next weekend's demo! Love your passion for the game and support for the community! We definitely created some memorable experiences with more to come, I'm sure!

That’s awesome Tripleshot. Thanks for coming back and giving me an update. Here’s to hopefully many more with Anthem. Glad we could be a small part of it.

We helped Pokémon Go launch and it’s doing quite well now, so I always like to ask companies about the games I like to play.

Anything that can make things go faster only helps us all in the community!

Take care and here’s to a great launch.

That’s awesome! My family and I love Pokémon Go. Yeah continued feedback would be great. For now I am primarily getting it here in this subreddit but if we stand something else up for feedback I’ll let y’all know.

That’s an awesome idea. I’ll kick it over to the designers. Thanks Sharp!

You may be right but was commenting specifically on the demo build. I don’t believe it was removed but I will double-check.

So the primary difference is the available pools of inscriptions (stats) that roll on these. Universals pull from one pool, javelin specific parts from another. Also the flat base stats on the parts are different between the universal and javelin specific parts.

You, Ben, Mike, and all the others being so responsive inspires a lot of confidence that you guys care and will fix things - so we all appreciate it.

I do have a question are we maybe going to see an update for the demo integrating fixes for some of the issues we encountered this weekend? I know patching the client means you have to go through PlayStation Store and Xbox Store validation, which i don't imagine is cheap for the 24 hour validation.

Hey Kazan, I’m sure will be talking about this all week and right now I’m not sure what we can and can’t do with our timeframe before next week. Our Live Ops team has been tracking this stuff all weekend and will probably be prioritizing the list of to-do. I can’t set expectations that next week we’ll have resolved the issues, but we’ll try.

I will be back for next weekend but I do hope we get an updated demo download too if some of these are version 0.0.0 related.

Well I mean it’d be in a situation where it’d be super risky otherwise. What about this offends you so much?

We’re back and forth on it but honestly from my personal point of you if we’re giving players more choice on how they want to use it (bank and save for res, use for single boss, use for add management) is that really a bad thing? I feel like knowing when and how to use an ultimate is a low entry but high ceiling skill component.

So the key for detonating strike is to hit low health or nearly dead targets with it. If a creature dies with the “charge” on it, it explodes doing massive damage all around. If the kick itself doesn’t do it, melee them to finish it off and BOOM. If you get lucky and hit more than one creature with the kick it will also apply charges (and explosions) to each one.

As an inteceptor main right now I treat ult as either massive crowd control, single target burst or the big "oh shit I'm about to die" button.

Pro-tip the Interceptor can also res while using your Ult! Good for the super risky res.
