  1. Some folks don't want to play Firestorm.
  2. Some folks are having issues accessing Firestorm. (specifically in low-population regions, so they get transferred to datacenters that are more active, impacting their gameplay with higher ping, which makes them not want to play Firestorm.)

The second part is what players in regions like South Africa, Middle East, Australia (at off-peak times), and South America (at off-peak times) are experiencing. And this is absolutely something the team is working on addressing. There's multiple options on the table on how to improve the situation, and when I have a confirmed rollout date for those fixes to be implemented, I will be sharing it in an official post.

And I totally feel that with you. It's not about "how the First World" views other regions or being "born in the wrong country".

It's literally about population in-game. I really want to stress that. If more folks were matchmaking for Firestorm in those regions simultaneously, the matchmaker wouldn't need to redirect to other datacenters.

Why can you guys fix the "Der Sturm Tiger" fiasco near instantly but leave an entire half of the planet in a mess like this? Every time we open the game the game advertises and pushes Firestorm on us in every way imaginable and yet none of us are able to play it in any meaningful capacity.

I appreciate your feedback, I do follow your communications on the topic quite closely on most platforms, but how is this not just more of the usual "Soon™" monotony?

With respect, if I had information to share, I would. If I don't and don't post, I get blasted for not communicating. When I do reply, letting you know the current status as it is (sometimes it's still in the investigative process, looking for options and weighing the balance of doing A and how it will impact B), I still get blasted for not giving information - info that isn't locked yet. (And I don't use the word soon™ because it's a meme now. If I have info, I'm going to share it. If I don't, I'm going to tell you I don't and I'm going to work to get it.)

And updating the text line to correct something like an incorrect spelling isn't as significant on work load as adding an entire experience into the server browser, changing matchmaking rules to reduce potential for out-o...

It's unplayable outside of North America and Europe from what I can gather, and according to my experience, with latency through the roof. I tried it a few times, but ended up only doing the challenges absolutely necessary to be able to at least progress.

This clearly shows their dedication towards their customers. They don't care if Firestorm is unplayable for half their player base, and they clearly have no plans to address this issue. Firestorm was only a way to bait new players into the trap.

I’m sorry if you haven’t seen the multitude of comments I’ve posted regarding connectivity issues in low-population regions with regards Firestorm, or the tweets I’ve sent out. TL;DR - the team is aware that some low-population regions are having issues connecting to in-region servers. This is due to not enough folks connecting to the same mode at the same time in Firestorm, resulting in one of two things: queuing then failing to matchmake or being routed to the nearest active datacenter. They are investigating solutions that can ease this situation, but at some point, it comes down to how many are connecting simultaneously in that region. As I get more updates from the team regarding the ongoing work, I’ll be sharing them.

This was discussed on one of our Live Service meetings. Team is aware. I haven’t seen the notes for the upcoming update, but I know they are working on addressing a lot of things, including stability and flow.

I’ve already commented elsewhere that we hear you - the community doesn’t like BFV restricting the ToW to specific modes to start without optional node branches is something we’ve shared with the Dev team. IE, having to start a week with a Firestorm match for those not interested in Firestorm impacts their ability to progress the weekly challenges and unlocks.

This has already been reported to the Dev team. Thanks! Definitely appreciate the feedback.

The roadmap published 3 weeks ago shows when maps are coming. There was an update last week, which we have a few threads compiling feedback on.

The next update is currently being finalized and going through checks and should come in a couple weeks, pending Certification. As we get closer to it being confirmed, we’ll announce the date and have update notes ready.

The last update (last week) improved some looting mechanics by increasing spread to reduce stacking and by improving collision between items. (This was called out in last week’s update notes.) The team continues to work on this and investigate more solutions to looting and inventory management.

There's always been servers. It's a matter of population in that region connecting at the same time in the same mode in Firestorm. If not enough people are connecting, to ensure you can matchmake, you will be redirected to a more active data center.

Actually, we've posted about it quite often as this is an ongoing challenge for some of our low-population regions. We have adjusted thresholds to assist with connecting to in-region servers. When we reduced the threshold, we received feedback that connecting in-region was more successful, but it is worth noting that during non-peak, if not enough people are attempting to matchmake, it will redirect the connection to more active datacenters. The team continues to investigate further options to address this, and when I have more information or further updates to share, I will.

Have you tried the workaround of deleting your save file then replaying the mission? Anything you've already unlocked will remain.
