It looks like this is due to some sort of DRM on your PC interfering with Darktide.

Comment

Could you share your GamerTag with me please?

Make sure Steam Cloud Saving is not enabled for Darktide, and then proceed to delete the AppData once more. It sounds like it’s reinstating the AppData thus causing the issue to resurface.

I’ve sent you a DM.

This is a known issue which happens when the same Curio is equipped in separate slots.

Comment

Can I confirm that you’ve already tried deleting your AppData?:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark
  4. Delete the ‘Darktide’ directory

You may then need to use the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option via Steam:

  1. Right-click Darktide in your Steam library sidebar
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
  4. Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
  5. When complete, close and reopen Steam

Hmmm I can only see a 525 Catachan Mk III Combat Blade with 3/4 Lacerate and 4/4 Riposte. Is that it?

I’m having some trouble locating your account, could you share your Fatshark account name with me?

That’s very strange. Could your Anti-Virus/Firewall be quarantining/blocking anything relating to Darktide?

Comment

Sorry to hear that. Are you able to connect your PC to a mobile data hotspot, to see if the issue persists whilst under another connection?

I understand this isn’t always an option, but it can help in isolating the issue to the network or PC.

Comment

For experimental purposes, are you able to connect your PC to a mobile hotspot?

Only for a short period, to see if the issue persists. This can help in isolating the issue, but I understand it isn’t always an option.

I’ve shared your update with our Engine Developers, apologies.

Comment

This is unusual, as we haven’t seen this error in a while! I’ve raised this with our Backend Engineer.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know what’s worked for you, albeit temporarily. We’ll look in to it.

Could you share the URL to your Steam profile please?

Could you please try launching Darktide directly via the .exe (as opposed to via Steam), and screenshot any errors that appear?

The path to the Darktide.exe should look similar to this: Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE\binaries
