Could you try deleting your Darktide AppData? Please keep in mind this will reset your keybindings:

1. Press the Windows key + R
2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\MicrosoftStore
4. Delete the entire ‘Darktide’ directory
5. Re-launch as normal

Please use the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option, which is accessible via the Steam client using the instructions below:

1. Right-click Darktide in your Steam library sidebar
2. Select ‘Properties’
3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
4. Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
5. When complete, close and reopen Steam

Also, I’ve learnt that “The Darktide game is required.” is always shown, so we can ignore that.

If you’re not receiving the Aquilas, that’s something we need to look in to.

This sounds a bit odd, but could you try disabling ‘Portrait Rendering’ via the ‘Settings’ → ‘Interface’ menu and see if that reduces the rate at which you error?

Similarly to Error Code: 2014, it does seem that 4G networks are more prone to this error.

We understand some players are experiencing excessive loading times in Darktide, which are sometimes infinite!

Rest assured we are looking in to this, but as a potential workaround, we understand some players have had success by changing their DNS.

There are various DNS providers available, and the one you decide to switch to is up to you.

Instructions on how to change your DNS vary slightly depending on your OS and the DNS provider.

Please research DNS providers, choose the one you wish to use, and refer to their instructions.

Due to an increase of players reporting pong_timeout / Error Code: 2014, I have chosen to merge all related posts here. This makes it easier for our Backend Engineers to parse multiple reports at once.

Could you disable all mods and upload a console log from a session where they’re disabled, please?
