My cat does that all the time! We won’t be able to restore the character in its entirety, but I can look at levelling up a new one for you. Please could you contact us over at https://fatshark.se/support?

Your suspicion with it being related to WebView2 is correct! We are working on updating the SDK, which should resolve the issue for you.

Edit: In the mean time, you should be able to workaround this by deleting the the entire WebView2 directory in Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE\launcher

This is a bit of a mysterious issue admittedly, and I understand you’ve exhausted many solutions already. I’ve shared this with our Launcher Developers, and I hope to have some more information soon.

This is mod-related. Unfortunately, I’m not sure which one is the culprit.

Do you have any console logs, or a darktide_launcher.log you could upload here perhaps?

It looks like there’s something weird happening with Discord. I wouldn’t expect this to be a permanent solution, but for experimental purposes could you try disabling it and re-launching Darktide to see if the issue persists?

Do you have anything on your PC that could be interfering with your input? More precisely I seem to recall there being some SteelSeries software that could at times hinder a player’s input in Vermintide. The SteelSeries Engine I think.

There seems to be an issue with your AppData. Please could you try removing it, and then launch Darktide to see if the issue persists?

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark
  4. Delete the entire ‘Darktide’ directory
  5. Re-launch Darktide as normal

Hmmm! I’m speaking with our Engine Developers on this, and they’ve asked if you could delete your binaries directory and then proceed to use the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option. I’ll include instructions below:

  1. Navigate to your Darktide installation, which might be something like this: Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE
  2. Delete the entire ‘binaries’ directory
  3. Head to the Steam client, and use the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option:
    1. Right-click Darktide in your Steam library sidebar
    2. Select ‘Properties’
    3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
    4. Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
    5. When complete, close and reopen Steam

I will bring this up with our Backend Engineer in case there’s any correlation between this error and it being a mobile network. Unfortunately he’s on vacation until Monday, but I’ll speak with him then!

We’re looking in to this. Thank you for letting us know, and apologies for the inconvenience.

We are looking in to this, but I apologise I have no immediate solutions right now. Could you tell me which mobile network you’re using?
