This is actually a mistake. Originally our boy Kruber was penned to be illiterate but this was changed shortly before launch of V1, that line however missed being cut.

Awks.

He's not obviously highly literate but can read as much as someone in his position would be expected to, such as tactical missives

We will be introducing new cosmetic items shortly after the release of Chaos Wastes.

It’s July somewhere, right? No? D:

It's nice to be able to open the door again. I can only say "no news but work continues" so many times before I want to punch myself. Whilst true, its a statement we use a lot (see versus, see map making, see the now RIP dedicated server feature).

I get it, us going silent isn't great, but honestly we get to places (sadly too regularly) where actions speak louder than words. This was one of those times in my view at least. Was I right? Probably not. I'm still after many years figuring out how I can best work with the team and how we operate here. (note: it isn't easy). I don't always get it right either and I do feel I let folks down on this one and dropped a ball or two. I've personally learned from it.

TIL about Giant Dad! I think Excision is responsible for all the points I've ever had on my drivers licence tho.

I'm confident you'll be in the cold north on Day 1.

Can you give any hints if the next DLC career will be launching near the same time as Chaos Wastes~?

Most of the new career is in place, but there's a fair bit of dial turning and adjustments being made. It's shaping up to be a pretty cool one tho. I'm hesitant to get specific on release proximity though. <3

I'm curious to see what is done with the expansion of course, but I can't quite wrap my head around why we're going to the Chaos Wastes if not to fight new enemy types. The Rotbloods are Norscan, they live in Norsca. Fighting entire tribes of them and Skaven again in an expansion that has taken many months to complete feels weird to me.

The Chaos Wastes are where Daemons manifest more easily on the mortal plane, its where the mutating aspects of Chaos are at their most ferocious. It seems a perfect and logical opportunity to introduce new Daemonic and mutated enemy types, especially because those assets could also make their way into Darktide as well.

I'm still looking forward to Chaos Wastes and to see what new is being added, but this is a pretty big bummer. I mean the maps of the Warhammer Fanta...

I getcha. We are keen to see if this adventure resonates with players. It has a high ceiling for us to go wild with it, but we don't want to go all in off the bat. There's a lot of freshness in Chaos Wastes without a new force to fight though, don't get me wrong.

Not doubting you, just news to me.

There wont be new enemies for the launch of Chaos Wastes. I'm not promising post launch new enemies either, just that we're exploring options.

Heroes,

The 3-Year Anniversary of Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s launch on PC is just around the corner, and with that, we of course want to celebrate! Vermintide 2 officially launched on PC on March 8, 2018.

Between March 5 - March 14 players on PC will be able to play the celebratory mission ‘A Quiet Drink’ , earn Double XP all throughout the Anniversary, and we will be doing daily giveaways over on the Vermintide Twitter.

A NOTE FROM THE DEVELOPERS

You maybe don't need to hold on to ~10 of each weapon type though. At least until we get around to moving static items out of the inventory allowance and into alternate storage (like we did with illusions)

Edit: Because this seems to have had some traction, I did some digging and found the mention in question, where Hedge talked about using the illusions from WoM to help bridge the Athanor system into Adventure Mode. It's the first comment in this thread.

Edit II, Athanor Boogaloo: I was wrong with it being linked to chaos wastes, but it's still something being considered, just lacking an ETA because of complications with Athanor implementation which would go hand in hand with the weave skins.

Not in the context of Chaos Wastes I'm sorry to say. The scope of moving the athanor to the main game (as an example of the solution) goes beyond the Wastes as such a change, whilst simple on paper, has impact that's game wide and needs a lot of work and thought put in to doing it in the right way. Still no ETAs I'm afraid, but it's on our internal roadmap to figure it out.

Hotfix 4.2.2.1

  • Okri’s Challenges have been temporarily disabled in Modded Realm to prevent a crash while we work on a more robust solution.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur if a player that had left the game was votekicked.

with different skins i paid for

like dwarf cosmetics dlc which had 1 new hammer and 5 identical guns

or bublehaffel purple guns

there are no actual duplicates

Illusions (red/bublehaffel/normal) don't take up any inventory space.

If you have 10,000,000 of a resource, it counts as 1 item. The stack itself is 1 item with an attrubuted value of 10,000,000.

Your inventory is about 40% hats/frames/skins/deeds, and 60% items, many of which are duplicates (but with different stats/for different builds I suppose).
