Very sorry about this! Unfortunately I don’t think we have a Steam Controller to test with internally but I will check. Could you please upload your log file after trying to use the Steam Controller? My Xbox 360 controller is working fine, which I realize doesn’t help you.
Characters are currently saved locally as the game is offline. All multiplayer characters will be stored server-side only once that’s released.
We’ve just released 0.7.7d which will correct this issue. You’ll be able to see your existing characters and create new ones.
Unfortunately, this bug is caused by a character becoming corrupted, so that means at least one of your characters is lost. We’re still looking into the cause of the corruption, and aren’t able to restore the characters at this time.

Typically these problems occur on a per-zone basis, if you encounter something like this in a different location another screenshot would be great. This particular one will be fixed in 0.7.7d.
Thanks, we’re making progress on the loading bug. For the settings dropdowns, deleting the ini file may help. The game will recreate it on startup.
Ah yeah the file gets cleared when you restart. Could you please upload the Saves folder (as a .zip) from the same place you got the log files?
I’m not sure what you’re describing with the settings panel-- I’d appreciate a screenshot if you’re able to get one.
We’re working on a fix for this issue-- if you post your log file I can confirm it’s the issue I’m thinking of. Make sure to upload both the Player.log and Player-prev.log file. Sorry about this!
I was replying to Pylos, but the log file you just uploaded did have additional information so thanks. It indicates there was an additional crash report saved to C:/Users/schae/AppData/Local/Temp/Eleventh Hour Games/Last Epoch/Crashes. If you could zip up at least the last few folders in there that would be great.

Could you upload your log file as well? At this stage more information is very helpful, especially since different things could be causing the problem for different people.
Doesn’t seem like that was the right log file-- I don’t see a mention of you loading the Echo of a World zone. The log file is reset when you restart the game (but saved as Player-prev.log). Please do post if it happens again. Thanks!
