If official livestreams need to be cancelled in the near future, have you considered allowing a few Jmods to stream an informal general Q&A on the main channel from home?

We're working on that at the moment! We'll try to have a couple of the team dial in remotely today.

This is amazing. Well done! Love Newton in the background.

Aw yis.

So what does this mean for Archaeology?

Business as usual, really. We're all ready to go and we expect to launch on the 30th (pending any further guidance from the government), it's just a case of making sure we have the ability to have enough staff working remotely (and safely) to cover a game update of the size of Archaeology.

I think it is already ready to be released. But if there is big bugs on launch, they may not be able to fix them from home, which makes it risky to release.

Code lock was on Friday, so it is exactly this. It's ready to go, we just need to confirm we have the resource remotely to jump on any fixes that may need to happen with release. We're working on it, but don't foresee any issues.

Correct!

Correct. I was testing you, and you passed <.<

Hot fix is an update without restarting the game, cold fix restarts the game. I think that’s the right way round anyway

Correct! We have a Warmfix too, but I'm not entirely sure what that entails...

But how will i stop once I start humming

Then you'll be ultra-clean (you can thank us later).

Just as a quick note - you can expect a small Cold Fix to come this afternoon - this is not the game update.

Hey - thanks for letting us know. This is something we're aware of and are trying to replicate - we'll keep you updated when we have a fix in place (hopefully sooner, rather than later!).

In the meantime, try deleting your cache (jcache files inside C://ProgramData/Jagex/RuneScape) and let us know if that works.

EDIT: More information:

The only players who should be deleting the cache are those that have ran the installer recently, be that a re-install or a regular install, as any players experiencing slow loading will have their issue exacerbated by re-installing the game.

Also note this cache issue is Windows only.

Hey. Could you DM me your friend's RSN please? We'll take a look.

They should also be able to head here to submit a ticket, which is likely to be looked at more quickly!

I don't mind the duplicity (so long as it isn't detracting from other things), but a less engaged player isn't going to read through those blocks of text. I try to stay informed and even I don't want to read through it. I really do like having an additional source of information from the streams for those that don't like to watch, but if you're after those that aren't super engaged, you're going to lose them with this.

Similar to the current TL;DWs, they need to be concise, and get straight to the point. The format you have for patch notes seems like a great fit for this type of information (categorized, bullet-ed, etc...).

Some other feedback on this, for things like Solak Scaling which is listed, it would be nice to have the actual changes being made linked/posted there in an official capacity. Same goes for other chang...

Thank you for the feedback. As Poerkie has mentioned this is a prototype and not meant to detract away from any TL;DWs. We can't (nor would we want to) compete with those things on Reddit - it's intended to be for those who perhaps don't use Reddit as a primary platform.

We do get asked a lot to put this information on the website, so this is the first step. Generally the feedback has been that it's too long - which is fair enough - so we'll take a look at the process and see how we can improve it (and make it faster!)
