This also happens to me here, and two other places I’ve noticed are when I teleport to ed1 and the infernal source outer ring. Is this a bug I should report in game?

Hey There, we're taking a glance at this now, would you be able to ping me your display name?

It's also worth noting if it always happens or sometimes.

Thanks for the reply!

Same also happens in Prifddinas and when using the Fairy Ring to enter Menaphos when headed towards the Souls Alter. This continues even with computer restarts. It just seems more and more parts of the game is having this problem, it used to only happen in Prifddinas.

We're playing catch-up right now, with archaeology it kind of fell on the back burner.

We should be back to them being much quicker very soon (within a week but preferably on the Friday following)

Yes, Jmods absolutely love doing that kind of thing ;)

I'd recommend finishing Zarosian 1 from Isaura, then do museum - Zamorakian 1 from Velucia.

They require the same artefacts and given your level, it's faster to excevate the required artefacts than Zarosian 1 (albeit you will sacrafise some XP because restoring the artefacts from zamorakian 1 will give less XP on average.)

It is probably an unpopular opinion, but let's see how today's change to the drop rates plays out.

The changes that have been made today significantly reduce the drop rate of a inquisitor staff pieces on accounts with a low Archaeology level, in particular in comparison to someone training with a high level Archaeology at the higher level hot spots.

See Mod ryan go into depth a bit more here: https://twitter.com/JagexRyan/status/1252656078795476992/photo/1

It was removed from the build last minute and as a result it did not make it into game, hence we've removed it.

Just to tag on to this, it feels like the amnesty restrictions are pretty consistent except for a few areas.

  • Why are Skillchompas allowed but not incense sticks?
  • Why did you enable the Resourceful Aura before the amnesty end but restrict other auras still?
  • Lootscape still provides consumables which are arguably stronger than the Tomes.

I think all three of these are good questions, and I don't know if there is a very good satisfying answer.

My personal take away is that before we require an other amnesty period we sit down and refresh/clarify the amnesty rules to catch all the edge cases, as of which some are described above. Then also publish these ahead of time so we can gather community feedback and make further iterations if required, so that the rule set is clear and everyone agrees with it.

Happy with these notes, but I also didn't see anything about improving the bad luck mitigation either :/

Going 20/20/10 on a trio when each artifact takes like 8 minutes each to excavate is really really disheartening, and trios are especially vulnerable to bad runs.

Some changes aren't as quick to make and require more time. Rest assured we're ware of these things and chipping away at them.

Hey there,

I've looked into this a little bit. Currently it's part of a setting
Miscelanios -> doomslayer warnings -> Wilderness Entry

So the quick fix is turn this back on to be prompted with a warning before you teleport.

This settings both regulates manually climbing over the barrier as well as teleports into the wildy.

Some other teleports, the lvl 19 wildy Teleport & wildy lode stone fore example, will still have an additional warning. We'll get a feedback job in to smooth this out and make it more consistent, so that we can hopefully stop more wilderness lures!

I've seen a lot message about the inquisitor staff pieces drop rates and such. It's something we're discussing with the team.

We will continue listening to feedback and make changes to archaeology, in a similar fashion we've done the past three weeks.

I've made some changed to this, I believe it's accurate now.

Looks like they removed the XP tomb from Lootscape.

Yep, the community pointed out that it shouldn't be allowed due to the amnesty period and as a result we've removed it.
