It's very unlikely to be caused by the Monday's update because this did not include any engine changes.

Biggest thing you should remember is to have fun! I'd say take a look at Mining and Smithing. They've been reworked Jan 2019 and I've been enjoying both these skills a lot since.

It doesn't seem to interrupt play once you're connected to a world, but may cause a bit of difficulty seeing the other worlds and changing to them Additionally it might also make communication across worlds difficult (e.g. Grand Exchange)
