Hey, the forum is actually setup so that the community can self moderate.

As you know if you flag inappropriate posts they can be hidden by the community and then once a CX team member is online we go through and do any additional clean up that’s needed and contact any players that need to be contacted etc.

We are also able to validate the flagged posts so if the system is being abused then the users abusing the flags won’t be considered trusted users by the forum software any more so their flags won’t hide other’s posts any more.

I can see that the system was used over the past day effectively thank you everyone!
I’m in the middle of reviewing all the flags and following up on everything now.

I’ve deleted the off topic posts this time to keep this thread on track and as they were just short posts about some forum admin settings and not an actual discussion about the game so I don’t think anyone will miss the posts.
I’ll go double check the forum settings - I already had but I must have missed an extra setting for this somewhere :frowning:

I’ll also move this thread to the feedback section just for housekeeping and so it doesn’t get lost.

I can see Jeto already passed this onto the team though thanks Stratelier!

Hi folks, ban reasons for the forum are shown on the user’s profile.

Most warnings aren’t given publicly, but rather privately.

If a warning or a ban is issued then the posts breaking the community guidelines are either edited or deleted.

I have deleted the reposting of the original offending post from this thread as it does breach the community guidelines.

The large majority of people leaving feedback have done so without having their posts moderated as they were following community guidelines.

It is ok to post criticism of the game and studio as long as the community guidelines aren’t breached.

The community guidelines are there to make the forum a safe place for all of our Gems of War community to participate regardless of their age or background.

We appreciate everyone who helps us maintain that environment.

I’m going to close this thread now as we don’t publicly discuss other user’s bans.

Heyas, just as a little more info, we had to shuffle around our schedule a little and as we had to push some things back anyway we thought it would be very fitting to have the Broken Spire rework around the 8th Gems of War anniversary as Broken Spire was the very first Kingdom.

The “mods” or I guess you mean the CX team, don’t make game design decisions.
We actively support cool stuff players make for the community: ie with Gowdb, Taransworld, streamers etc.

Myself and other community members have listed the holidays and dates in the OP and in posts above.

The Australian Federal Government, the Victorian State government and religion decide when those holidays are.

Thanks @CaptainAwesome I’ve made sure everywhere we posted the patch notes they’re up to date.

Daily reset is at 5pm local time for the team so we have to release in our morning so that we have developers available in case any thing goes wrong.

To clarify, we prioritise bugs based on how game breaking/blocking they are and how many players are affected.

For a ROUGH example - sometimes the devil is in the details:

  • No one can open the game at all - everyone drops everything until it is fixed.
  • A chat portrait is missing but is in player’s collections - can wait.
  • Vash Dagon sometimes feezes the game but not every time and not for every player - can wait for a business day.
  • A scheduled event doesn’t start for everyone on Xbox - devs are called in on their day off to fix it.
  • Guild statue bonuses are being applied but the statue shows a grey bonus (inact...

Hi Adventurers,

We have a very busy and short month here at Infinity Plus Two, so we want to give you more details about when we will be away.

Here is a list of the dates the office will be closed due to holidays, dates are in Australian time:

22 - 27 September
5 October
8 - 11 October
15 - 18 October
1 November

You may have noticed the first long weekend is this weekend coming up, and it is a very long one. To break this up a little and reduce waiting times we will be answering any account and purchase issue support tickets on Friday.

Hey, this has come up before but it’s been awhile.

Basically there are rules and restrictions regarding In App Purchases (IAPs).
At the time we released on Nintendo Switch we weren’t able to offer all our IAPs on Switch. The team do have a review of which IAPs we’re offering on Switch and if we’re able to we will add them in the future.

Nintendo Switch will get all the content the other platforms have eventually, including these Weapons. However, at this stage we don’t have an ETA for this.

I’ve followed up with the Dev team again today.

They’re hoping all the server improvements that have been getting made over the past few months will:

  1. Make this bug less likely to occur
  2. Make it easier to fix the bug

We’ve put a different dev on the job so that we have a fresh set of eyes looking at it.
It’s definitely not a simple issue to solve.
I’ve asked if there’s a band aid measure we can take in the meantime - this does carry a risk of further issues so the devs need to look into it more before deciding on a fresh course of action to tackle this bug.
