I understand that it's easy to get frustrated when a teammate is toxic like that, however, I implore you not to take your frustrations in this way as you WILL incur a ban on your account(s).
How you deal with constant negativity and feedback every tike you post an update? It feels like a lot of people are not understanding.
I can barely deal with toxicity in this game.
While we do receive negative feedback, there are many players in the community who express their passion for the game by offering constructive, actionable feedback.
I understand that toxicity in-game can be a detriment to some players. A regular topic of conversation for us is the mitigation of in-game toxicity to improve the overall gameplay experience
What other games do you usually play?
Excluding Rocket League: Valorant, Sea of Thieves, Divinity 2, Final Fantasy XIV, Minecraft, Back 4 Blood, Forza Horizon, Stardew Valley. Just finished Deathloop.
For the Community team: how, and from what sources, do you gather honest and critical feedback? I’ve seen other Psyonix members claim that Reddit is not even the biggest single source of community feedback that Psyonix utilizes, so I wonder: what’s the breakdown across all avenues? Do you weigh each source of feedback equally, or is it variable?
how, and from what sources, do you gather honest and critical feedback?
We tend to gather feedback from a variety of sources including social media channels, Reddit, steam, and discord to name a few.
Each platform has its own tendencies and nuances. For example, we find that Reddit, in general, tends to have more of an emphasis on the PC community. Usually, when gathering feedback, the way we weigh sources is variable and will largely depend on the quality of the feedback itself.
hello! will there be a "community made" series? e.g. goal explosions, wheels, arenas, etc.

Community-created cosmetics are something we have an interest in exploring in the future. There are a lot of talented designers within the community and we absolutely take note of players posting their beautiful concept art and renders to the subreddit.

Hey dude! Just responding here to say thanks for the report on this. I've alerted our folks internally to look at whats causing this
AS GOD AS MY WITNESS HE IS BROKEN IN HALF
I’m not the person you asked, but I came upon this thread through your comments and I realized this was my experience too. I have gigabit internet and downloading games or updates for other games is quick, but never for rocket league. I’m in NA Midwest.
Thank you for replying!
Same issue here. It is faster for me to constantly pause the update and restart it every time. Start of update (Rocket League only) I get 350Mbps but after 15 seconds or so this has dropped to less than 5Mbps sometimes even in the Kbps range... pausing the update and starting instantly again brings back the full speed for those 15 seconds..
Makes no sense as all other downloads are 350+Mbps throughout the download process.
Hey there! Following up here. Could you tell me which region you're in?
My updates are the same on xbox. It’s actually faster for me to uninstall and reinstall the game than it is to download even like a 2GB update. I have 1GB fiber internet using an Ethernet directly into my router.
Hey there. As a follow-up on this, could you provide me with info on which region you're in?
u/psyonix_devin any reason that rocket league updates download significantly slower than any other game? I'm on xbox and consistently get 150mbs on any other download but RL updates are lower than 20mps

Aaaaand we're off! 30mb in 20 minutes let's gooooo
Edit: 25% in one hour! Wowowow!
Halfway there after 3 hours!

Still no fix for the game looking like dogshit on PS5? It's been weeks
Still no fix for the game looking like dogsh*t on PS5?
This was patched a week ago. This is the first I've seen of this still being an issue. https://www.rocketleague.com/news/patch-notes-v2-05/
Are you seeing issues when switching to performance mode? Or is this all the time?
I love the updates but for the love of f**kkk stop putting them at peak hours

This patch's winner! While there is no prize, I CAN tell you that this is not peak hours!
Did they fix how the PS5 defaults into low res mode and going into settings changes it back to 4K?
Edit: Nope. Still have to click settings to switch to 4K every time you start up the game.

Are you referring to the settings within the actual PS5 itself?
