Preliminary changelog for "La Royale" Major Update

The Dev Server will be opening today featuring the new War Thunder "La Royale" Major Update!

Dev Server progression from previous Dev Server session should be stored. If you are new on Dev Server, you will have progress sync with live server from 19th May.

For technical reasons, the dev server may close immediately at any time before the indicated time!
The Dev Server may close an any time so please make the most out of the opening window!

Known Bugs:

New vehicles in update may have inaccuracies in characteristics, armour and weaponry settings.


The armour model for new ground vehicles in update is “work in progress” for adjustment and improvement.

History

Experimental light tank Pz.Kpfw.38 (t) n.A. was developed in 1941 by the Czech company BMM to participate in the reconnaissance tank contest for the German army. The tank was built on the chassis of the light Czechoslovak tank LT vz.38 and was distinguished by a more powerful gun, a new 8-cylinder engine, bigger wheels and wider tracks. Despite the best results in mobility trials, the tank was denied mass production due to high fuel consumption, a cramped turret and a 37 mm gun, which was considered excessive...

In this month's Pages of History you'll find yourself in the center of events that happened at numerous battlefronts. Two of the more important Pacific battles, the landings in Normandy, and the beginning of Operation Barbarossa — participate in battles using the vehicles that were used in these historic events and receive prizes!

The new location “Iberian Castle” takes players to a tourist town on the eastern shores of the Balearic Sea. The main attraction of the town is the ruins of an ancient sea castle. Here, amongst the remains of castle walls and ruins of ancient buildings players will find the first zone of control over the location. The middle capture point is located right in the center of the town, in the labyrinth of crooked streets with arches and small squares. At the edge of the town, where the orchards begin, there is a third capture point surrounded by several buildings that can hide a small group of defending armored vehicles.

If system somehow overwrite your settings, there is not much you can do.

For future, be sure to save your control settings to the file (you can do it in control menus). And if you use gamepad and launch WT (but do not want to use it), it's safer (at least I do it like that) to click [X] button on pop-up screen instead of selecting control device from picutre.

Each map got 2 spawns for helis - close and far. If you see enemy on close one, use far one and shot him down.

AFAIK we do not have any plans for such option. MM is same for all players, no matter if you support game development with money or you are 100% F2P player.

The reward will still be issued for purchasing a rank V coastal vessel, ground vehicle, or aircraft. This temporary solution is against the sharply increased number of players using game process automation to upgrade their game account.

The current provided changelog reflects the major changes within the game as part of this Update. Some updates, additions and fixes may not be listed in the provided notes. War Thunder is constantly improving and specific fixes may be implemented without the client being updated.
