  • Common things to avoid such as repetitive pieces (using the same wall or prop over and over), building square shapes instead of trying irregular both horizontally and vertically, leaving vast empty spaces, etc.

Of course no one read the post and just floods it with requests, lol. 🙄

A tutorial with an overview of the available tools is definitely necessary, and a tutorial on the different game settings and devices available, too. Also maybe one that shows what items some of the galleries have so people can jump right in

Tool overview sounds like a great idea.

From this list.

We're actually looking for what tutorials people would be interested in. ;)

Great idea. I had the same problem when I first started.

We're aware of issues with the Baller settings and use in islands that were created prior to 8.20. We're investigating and will report back when we have more information.

Hello Creative community!

We continue to see fantastic creations and are constantly amazed at what you’re able to build with the new tools that release. We’re going to start directly talking to you more often about what other tools you’d like to see and how the current set are working for you. Giving you all the things you need to continue creating!

We’re going to kick off our first Creative Chat today, and you can expect these regularly (every week or so) to discuss the ongoing development of Creative Mode. Let’s get started!

We know that starting out in Creative Mode can be a bit overwhelming, with the array of tools and objects available. If we were to work with the community to create tutorial videos, what topics would be most useful to you?

When the music sequencer is triggered it makes a constant repetitive noise that's unbearable as if the elimination zone is constantly being triggered. I'm unsure what's causing it, I've heard some say vehicles while others suggest it's any prop. Sorry I can't give more details I haven't actually had a chance to test it.

Thank you, appreciated. I'll get a trello card up for it and pass the information along.

We’re excited to announce the LTM Creator Contest! Do you feel like you have a great idea for an LTM? Share it with us for an opportunity to have your game featured as an LTM in-game.

When Creative was first envisioned, we were extremely excited about the potential for creators to create their own games that could then be featured as LTMs. The Block was the first step, introduced in Season 7 and began the journey of shared player made creations. Season 8 furthers that opportunity for any player or group as you can now matchmake together into an experience created by you, for everyone. Your imagination and creative use of the tools available are the only limits to what you can do. We are looking forward to playing your creation with the entire Fortnite community.

-Zak Phelps, Creative Development Director

The chosen creator will be brought into the Support-A-Creator program (if not already a member), ensuring the best possible chance to ...
