We haven't set a deadline or date but would never leave Terraria buggy or in a bad place - so as long as it takes really.

Zoologist - Witch Doctor close second
Did the devs ever expect Terraria to be this big and have this large of a community?
I'm not sure they ever really expected it but imo the incredible community and continued success of Terraria are directly related to the passion and dedication of the devs.
When will 1.4 come out for console?
Q3 2021 - it is in development now.
I love the old 3ds terraria but this version was abandoned do you plan to someday update it to the actual 1.4?
No, we can't update 3ds any more as the hardware is too limited.
Why didn’t you finish/publish terraria otherworldly as a game? I know it was “terminated” 3 years ago but I never really understood why.
It didn't fit our original vision, so we scrapped it to focus on other projects

We'll work on it once every version is at parity

How are you guys doing during this pandemic ?
We were successfully doing remote work before quarantine - so no change really in our day to day work. Our team is small but spread all over the world. The dev team was pretty motivated to get an update out for all of the humans stuck at home during quarantine - they worked some pretty long hours, was impressive.
Is there still really no Otherworld work going on or similar if it's just not called Otherworld anymore? 🙂
No Otherworld work going on. It was cancelled and will stay that way. Other work is going on though ;)
