As the titel says. With the new episode I realized that the agent select screen in the back was Ascent the whole time. It would be nice to have a separate background for each map in my opinion. The new background for Icebox is nice but I hope he won't last until the end of episode 2.

I'm an engineer so I can't speak for the suggestion in the title of this thread. However, I can say we do preload a lot during agent select: the map you're about to play, skins equipped by all ten players in the match, and even player cards and gun buddies.

Depending on how quickly everyone locks in their agent, you can still spend a variable amount of time on the loading screen. That is because players with low-spec machines may not have finished preloading everything by the time all agents are locked.

In theory yes. In practice, not really because: - Even if you yourself are not using skins, you still have to load skins selected by the 9 other players - as you can see and pick up their weapons during the match. - The time it takes to preload skins is tiny compared to the time it takes to load the map. You may then be wondering "why bother with preloading the skins then?". The answer is that even a small load like a skin is perceptible if it happens during gameplay. We absolutely do not want your framerate to dip the moment an enemy with a cool skin in his hands appears on screen, so we make sure everything is loaded before the match starts.
