Hiya! Here are this week’s changes to the PTR:

CHARACTERS

  • Fixed an issue where male Night Elf Death Knights were unable to select the 3 newest face options.

CLASSES

  • Death Knight
    • Fixed an issue with Killing Machine that caused it to trigger less often than intended while Dual Wielding.
    • Class Sets
      • Unholy
        • 4-piece: Soul Reaper now grants 25% damage (was 20%) from minions below 35% health.
  • Demon Hunter
    • Sinful Brand (Venthyr Ability) can no longer be overwritten by a lower duration Sinful Brand when applied via Metamorphosis.
  • Druid
    • Kindred Affinity’s (Kyrian Runecarving Power) stat bonus for the Druid reduced to 6% (was 8%) and the stat bonus for their partner reduced to 3% (was 8%).

  • Black Temple
    • [With realm restarts] Fixed an issue where Illidan Stormrage would cast certain abilities, such as Enrage, too early in his fight.
  • Fixed an animation error with Dragonmaw Skybreaker during the quest “The Deadliest Trap Ever Laid.”

For years now, many players have questioned whether the rules restricting communication and cooperation between Alliance and Horde need to be so absolute. The faction divide could keep close friends from playing together, or cause players to feel that their faction leaves them with far fewer opportunities to pursue their favorite group content. But these downsides have long been justified in order to preserve a central element of the Warcraft universe—it all began with a game titled, “Warcraft: Orcs & Humans,” right?

Organizations who disruptively advertise across all realms and establish escrow services are the primary target of this policy update. Guilds and individuals who are inviting players from another realm to join them in traditional game activities in exchange for gold are allowed, as they were before.

As the conditions change by which various entities operate in World of Warcraft, we are compelled to update our policies to further our goal of making the gameplay experience as fair and welcoming as possible. Since we last updated our policies, we have found that an increasing disturbance of the gameplay experience has been caused by organizations excessively advertising various non-traditional services in-game.

As of today, we will now prohibit organizations who offer boosting, matchmaking, escrow, or other non-traditional services, including those offered for gold. World of Warcraft accounts found to be in violation of this policy are subject to account actions. These actions can include warnings, account suspensions and, if necessary, permanent closure of the disruptive World of Warcraft account(s).
