Discussions about changes or game design are always welcome here, but things that focus on harassing employees and/or removing them is not and can lead to actions being taken. Please keep that in mind at all times.
As a result of this, I’m locking this thread. If you have feedback on the brutosaur, please continue to share it here:
We have some known issues in the latest build of the Visions of N’Zoth PTR that we’d like to highlight:
Appearances
Allied Race Intros
NPCs
All of the above will be fixed in a future build of the Visions o...
Read moreEarlier today, we deployed a WoW Classic hotfix to all regions:
This is closer to the original behavior of WoW 1.12, and should eliminate the ability for addons to extend players’ senses and detect enemy actions at a greater distance than intended.
This fix does not affect text logs that the game outputs for raid parses.
Blizzard Entertainment’s university relations and World of Warcraft development teams are proud to present the ninth annual World of Warcraft Student Art Contest! We’re calling on college and university students to submit original artwork or animations that would be a great fit for World of Warcraft.

Like all dinosaurs, the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur’s days are numbered. I can confirm that when Shadowlands goes live, the shady vendors Talutu and Tricky Nick will cease selling it. Their other offerings – the Lost Platysaur pet and the Palehide Direhorn mount, will remain available for purchase.
We will make sure that the unforgettable Brutosaur mount is added to the lists of possible items that are sold in the Black Market Auction Houses. And of course, this new Achievement “Conspicuous Consumption” is a Feat of Strength, so as such things go, it’s not actually very conspicuous.

I’ve added these notes to the OP in this thread, as we are now testing:
Essences
Please note, the High Noon reduction we’re testing only applies to the Restoration spec.
Warsong Gulch and Alterac Valley will open in WoW Classic simultaneously on all realms the week of December 10. At the same time, Elemental Invasions will occur in Kalimdor, with Blazing, Thundering, Watery, and Whirling Invaders appearing in Un’goro Crater, Azshara, Winterspring, and Silithus respectively.
We’ve been following the deadly deeds of the Classic community closely over the last week as the Honor system sparked an impressive amount of World PvP on PvP realms, and we’re excited to see what might transpire over the next three weeks. Nonetheless, like many of you, we can’t wait to charge into some battlegrounds, so we’ve detached this content unlock from the plan we previously announced. Blackwing Lair and Darkmoon Faire are coming in early 2020.
We’ll have an exact timestamp for this content unlock to share with you in early December.
See you there!
Hello.
We’ve found the problem here, and a caching issue is causing some players to still see last week’s Honor.
Rest assured that everyone’s kills are counting as expected, and after an additional realm restart in each region, you’ll have the correct rank for this week.
We’re moving to do those realm restarts as soon as we can. These restarts are being scheduled for 7:00 a.m. PST tomorrow, November 20 in this region.
Thank you for your patience!
In the Visions of N’Zoth PTR, we’re removing what we called the “infinite” at Heart Level 85. It was intended to allowing for an open-ended increase to Corruption resistance.
We’ve heard a lot of feedback from players, and we agree, that there’s value in being able to reach a point where you’re essentially done with Artifact Power.
To complement this, we’re adding an item in Visions of N’Zoth that players will earn once they’ve upgraded their legendary cloak to its maximum potential via Horrific Visions or from defeating N’Zoth on Normal, Heroic, or Mythic difficulty, or from fully completing a Horrific Vision with at least one Mask active. This item will fortify the cloak, adding additional Corruption Resistance and allowing player...
Read moreIn Battle for Azeroth Season 4, the maximum stats on rewards from Mythic Keystone dungeons will be increasing, with item level continuing to improve up through Mythic 15. Completing a Mythic 15 dungeon in Season 4 will award item level 475 gear in the weekly chest (this is equal to Mythic raid quality), and the maximum end-of-run reward will be iLvl 465.
With this change, we seek to better calibrate rewards to the difficulty of high-end Mythic Keystone dungeons, as well as to ensure that in the absence of the random chance for Warforged/Titanforged gear in Season 4, players still have an opportunity to earn rewards from the Mythic Keystone Dungeon system that are equivalent to high-end raiding and PvP loot.
I’ve added the following to the OP:
In the case of Rising Mist, we’re now testing a 33% healing increase, and we were previously testing a 66% healing increase.
With Shadow Word: Pain, we were already testing this change for Shadow only, and we’ve now added the change to Discipline.
We’ll do our best to make sure older Achievements are still able to be completed after the changes, even if that means we need to change some of the Tanaan Jungle, Argus, and Battle for Azeroth pet battle challenges to make them somewhat easier.
I think it’s also worth noting that the sample future changes I listed in the OP were the most-impactful examples we’ve thought of. I’m sure we’ll also take this opportunity to find pets/abilities/combos that we can buff at the same time.
About 14 hours ago, we deployed a hotfix that should have addressed Vanish.
Basically, Vanish should cause enemies to drop target, and we had a bug that was preventing them from dropping target. We fixed the bug.
There are still intended conditions in which enemies can “see through” Vanish, of course. (Example: the Bloodhounds in BRD)
As this hotfix required server restarts to take effect, we expect that it is now working as intended on realms in the Americas, and will be picked up with maintenance tomorrow in Europe.
