[2019] Any Reason For No CVs in Armory?

Given CVs were going through large scale balancing for a long time and were off sale for an even longer time, as with other ships, they did not make it into the armory for some time after they returned to sale. It is likely in the future they will be added in however no specific dates at this time.

Numbered them to make them easier to address, most of them however come back to the fact that CVs were being worked on for a longer than expected time .

Legendary modules are designed to create an alternate manner of gameplay for the ship by giving it a new quality while taking away another. Since CVs were being reworked for a long time it took significant time to establish the new baseline for the ships. How that the rework is more-or-less completed, we will need to let the ships rest and determine what an alternative gameplay style could look like, test it, then release it. It should also be noted, several other T10 ships (more recent ones) also do not have legendary modules available to them since they are in the same stage as the T10 CVs.


A few weeks ago we released information in the dev blog on a closed test we are conducting regarding spotting for CVs in the hope we can soon introduce them into CBs. We are aware of the impact they can make in highly competitive modes and are cautious in releasing them into these modes unchecked.


Again, we're wanted to get the rework completed and allow the class a chance to settle before introducing additional ships into the mix, particularly at high tier. We are also mindful that CVs are not the most popular class on the server so we have to consider the merit in creating a ship in which has minimal interest to a large portion of the playerbase.


CVs look considerably different to the other ships, the camos cannot be easily adjusted to the shape of the CV without considerable additional work

This is not ideal in our minds, 3 CV games are occurring because of the abundance of CV players at lower tiers. The Dev/Balance teams are looking into this concern at the moment.
