It sold out incredibly fast, but the good news is the Japanese version is still available for pre-order (releases May 30th).

v1.2.5 is now LIVE on PC & Switch (it's a bigg'un)

Adds Multiplayer player ranking + other quickplay changes, balancing changes, and lots of important bugfixes.

Hi folks!

For this one we wanted to focus on improving Wargroove 2's Multiplayer experience, balancing updates, and fixing a lot of important bugs.

We're introducing player ranking, which is used in matchmaking. All players will start at 1200, and then this rating will change following each match. We can't wait to see you all climb the ranks!

Some specs first:
- I'm playing on the Switch with double trouble
- I opened the TCP ports in my router mentioned here: https://portforward.com/wargroove/
- While testing I also temporarily opened all ports, still got the errors

As for the "connection to server was interrupted"-bug:
- it doesn't happen for every selected Map. If i switch to the second Tab before the maps were loaded, i actually didn't get the error for the first map (called "Castaway Companions") (I'm playing in german, there the second Tab is called "Stöbern"). Then I am able to even start downloading.
- As soon as I scroll to the next map ("World Conquest"), the error is thrown again. Or to be precise, some seconds after, i guess when an error is thrown that it can't read the map data.

Hello! Chucklefish team member here. I might be a bit bias, but in terms of broader changes from WG1 to WG2, the team at Robotality have really aimed to address the accessibility (incl.
difficulty), pacing, and mission length in the sequel.

I think if you were finding later missions more tricky you'll have a better time with the changes in WG2. There's also a 'undo' turn button, you can skip scenes, and we think you'll find the campaign missions themselves are snappier.

Other changes include..:

  • New Commanders & Factions
  • New tiered groove system where you can 'supercharge' your groove and strategically wait to use the 2nd tier
  • 3 interwoven Campaign stories.
  • New roguelike mode - Conquest!
  • 5 new unit types to master.
  • Level-up an ordinary unit with groove-like abilities by picking up items.
  • Battle after dark with new night mode.
  • New & improved map, campaign & cutscene editors

No date for Wargroove 2 yet, but we're still aiming for this year!
