[2023] Bring back the visibility of electrical wires

Yknow, it's funny. "Make it so the wires don't appear" and many paraphrasings thereof is an oft requested one. A sizable number of people have been begging for it for years with no appreciable disagreement from others in those threads. They finally change it so wires are hidden.....And now people are here begging for it back/complaining that it's gone.

+1 for offering a toggle though. See no reason why it can't be an option down the road some time, and probably isn't very hard to get back via a mod.
