The client already uses multithreading to an extent. Mostly it uses the GPU for generating the world though.
15 minutes is a bit extreme for that setup. You have something else getting in the way of world generation. Even considering the lackluster performance on 10th and 11th-gen Intel compared to the previous 9th-gen, you should not be waiting that long.

I just created a 10k world with default settings, and the generation time was barely over seven minutes.

R9 3900X
31GB RAM
RX 6800 XT OC

Keep in mind that RWG is still a work in progress too. Even now in a21 it is still going through changes and optimizations.

In your case though, I would check to make sure that the game client is properly excluded from security software, and that you aren't busy playing with other things when generating a map.

Usually they replace your GPU drivers with MS crap. Always re-install the GPU driver after updates that require a restart.

Did you just mog my rig, bro? lol. But yeah, otherwise I dont really see any issues anywhere, on this or other games. Havent gotten to horde night quite yet but my rig doesnt usually stutter so not expecting it.
Hey, I was team blue/green for a couple of decades. Intel really dropped the ball on those chipsets though. That plus a few other choice business decisions by Inte/ and Nvidia is why I've fully converted to team red.

faatal recently reported that a 10k world is now taking less than 5 minutes to generate. They made some kind of breakthrough for A21 and everyone should see dramatically lower generation times.
