What made it look old? There are a limited number of textures to choose from, just a handful of different bathroom fixture blocks, etc.

This is no big deal. I just thought that since "hand crafted" POIs seem to be a big selling point, the devs might want to take another look at the bathrooms in the new development.

Okay, thanks for sharing your feedback. I’m not a dev for this game to be clear, but I do make POIs. POI making is limited to the blocks and textures available. There are only 3 toilets, and 1 pedestal sink. More variety for those, and doors and wall textures etc. etc. would be nice. But it’s deliberately limited in some ways, because of the sandbox nature of the game. The player can build anything anywhere, so the game doesn’t rely on e.g. offloading textures in areas where they’re not used. Those textures are loaded all the time, in a giant atlas, which can only be so big for performance. So POIs have to use the same limited texture set.

As for why one of those toilets couldn’t be shiny and spotless, the devs are going for a particular dilapidated, post apocalyptic art style. It doesn’t always jive with what an individual POI is going for aesthetically. It may be easiest, much as I hate to say it, to change the art direction of the POI to be more consistent.

It’d still be cool to see a screenshot to know what building this is.
