[2022] Difficulties raised even more?

Yep. Difficulty is back to where it used to be. It's quite refreshing.

No, cheating in items shouldn’t up the difficulty.

Assuming you are not playing that way so can see a horde you were not expecting being frustrating. In case you are not aware there are settings to tell you what day is horde night. It is in the difficulty options.

yeah, but heres the thing. it wasn't a horde night. it was just regular zombies. they kept coming in waves of 5-6 with maybe 1 minute in between for me to try to regain some stamina, heal, and reload. i had some increased time in between once i finally made it up to floor 2 and 3.

which i was not prepared for and eventually turned on god mode and used the admin pistol because i went from 10pm (restore power quest) to 4 am, which is all night, without completing the clear area quest, ran out of ammo and meds.

i even went outside one time to try to clear all the zombies outside while trying to stay in the quest area, but as soon as i went inside, more spawned right outside the walls.

i'd like to say i'm probably exaggerating the 100+, but i'm more than likely not

This sounds like a screamer horde.
