The new ones have a kind of coloring tint or shade that just feels off to me, and most of the hair looks like from the Beatles area, which makes them look especially weird to me...

It would be really nice if there could be an option to just keep the old look : /

That’s unlikely, because the updated zombies aren’t just eye candy. They’re also better for performance than the old zombies.
