[2023] Book question: Do some have different sources?

RNG's gonna RNG. Any book can come from any book source.

Uh.. what do you define as a Book-Source?

Take Tech Junky for example.. drops in electric power cars and its corrosponding crate .. so it would count as book-source.. but only for tech-junkys.

similar i think only spearhunter, archer and needle can actually be mailboxes.

Tech junky is kindof an outlier in that regard- In that yes, You can find them in places you can't find other books- ie, it's corresponding crate.

But basically every other book doesn't have a comparable drop source. Spearhunter archer and needle books drop 100% of the time in Mailboxes at low gamestages because those three book series tend to become obsolete the further into the game you are- So they're specifically frontloaded in an accessible source. However, they can still drop in the main book sources like bookshelves, trading, end of POI chests, book piles, trash loot, etc. And once your gamestage gets high enough, mailboxes switch to being able to spawn any kind of book again.

The specifically requested books, Automatic weapon, Magnum Enforcer, Shotgun Messiah, Sniper, and Urban Combat, do not have any alternative source that I know of- Just the typical ones, like bookshelves, trading, book piles, mailboxes (after raising your gamestage enough), etc.
