I know, because I tried.
Once they're done making core system changes, then saves will survive through major builds. I suspect that we're getting really close to this being a reality. Probably with a22.
Thanks for the fast respond, then i will wait it personally for me out until then, just like i said with the standard white crosshair there isnt a permanent solution to disable it with gun sights or aiming with a gun/bow, unless after every micro patch you overwork that specific config everytime. but literally to waste hours on hours again everytime is just exhausting, even when i would love to get my mountain bunker alone done or even just the entrance area, but it took already so much time to get some needed stuff with the prior overwork, and now to get everything gone already its for me to much of thrown time out. I am gonna wait then this out until something like that will be possible, so even someone like me can enjoy it again without need to Abuse current bugs from AIs or mechanics to get a "speedrun" before the next patch will drop.
sad for me since i really wanted to play it but it was luck for me to see that steam news first before actually building further just to see it be gone again, hope there will be soon a solution to that. until then see ya and good luck
You could just play anyway. Alpha 21 will release in experimental via the beta menu first; You won't be forcibly opted in. Even after A21 becomes stable, you can opt back into A20.7; Updating doesn't delete your save file.
So play and enjoy and take your time, and whenever you feel ready to start a new save, update to A21 and start a new save there.
