[2022] Forging Issue

Rather than converting directly into a final component, Material melted into the forge is stored into an internal reservoir (The numbers on the right hand side). You then craft things in the forge UI using that internal reservoir.

So to get forged iron, you need to craft it using the craft menu on the left while in the forge UI; Crafting forged iron also requires Clay, which is a result of melting Clay Soil into the forge.
