That wouldn't be very zombie-like, in my opinion. Zombies shouldn't avoid death. They shouldn't have a sense of self-preservation.
On top of that, zombies are, in effect, always probing for weaknesses. They just know the path of least resistance and go that way. If they started avoiding where other zombies died, they'd be avoiding the path of least resistance, and they'd have to choose a path with more resistance. It's just that getting chopped up by various traps doesn't count as resistance, because again, they're zombies and shouldn't have survival instincts. In my view.
