[2023] MOVED: Will the updates ever stop destroying saves?

You could have started a year ago and played on a single save for an entire year. You don't think you would be ready to try a new world and different type of character after a year? Its not like the updates that break saves are being pushed out every month. The last several alphas have each been a year + between broken saves.
