1) Divide the price you paid for the game by the number of hours of fun you got out of it.
2) Compare that with the cost per fun-hour for other forms of entertainment.
3) Stop complaining.
LOL
So free to play games are the best ones?
Tahnval's point is more that, the guy probably spent like $10 on the game, got 100~ hours of enjoyment; So he spent like $0.10 cents per hour of enjoyment.
By contrast, Just going to the movies these days is like $25 for the ticket alone, and another $20 if you want popcorn and a drink... For a 2 hour movie, that puts it at like $25 an hour- 250 times more expensive per hour of enjoyment.
It's unfortunate that the OP doesn't like the game anymore. But, as far as mediums of entertainment go, Gaming is by far one of the cheapest if you spend more hours playing than dollars you paid for the game in the first place.. And very few games are meant to hold any players attention for hundreds of hours to begin with.
Edit: Meant to add this initially.. At the end of the day, the question is "Are you having fun?" If you aren't anymore, then the next question is "Did you have fun while it lasted?"; At which point count the hours and divy it up. I'm up to 1150 hours logged on steam myself, for this game- And that's not all of my hours. I bought the game for about $15. So.. I've spent $0.013 per hour I've had fun with 7DTD just by my steam hours, with many more hours to come, no doubt. Not a whole lot of hobbies out there that you can get an hour of enjoyment for a little over a penny.
