Whether the pregen maps are useless is beside the point. Those pregens are just RWG maps that tfp included. If they can have missing traders then your "selfmade maps" could be lacking as well.

I checked all the pregen maps. Only 2 are broken, but it's a broken that should not occur if they have any sanity checks in their RWG.

Pregen04kA is missing Trader Bob.

Pregen04kD is missing Trader Joel.

4k maps struggle with generation a bit. It's a known issue; Recommend 6k+ at this time.

And at the end of the day, It's not like it breaks the game, at least atm.. It just means you gotta go *gasp* explore a bit. If there's no bob, then explore till you find the trader that comes after bob. You know what biome they're in.
