The issue with laptops and 7 Days is that 7 Days requires a lot of CPU power. Laptops don't have much to begin with, and when they warm up they throttle the CPU speed to below recommended specs.
You'll probably be better off with a top tier AMD 3rd-gen or better, but you're taking a lot of loss when you go for portability.
