Lands Awakened 6 patch (3/3/22) made it so rare fish are no longer biome locked. However, the text reads like it's still more probable in certain biomes.

"Rare fish of all types are no longer biome-exclusive, and now have a small chance to be caught in other select biomes" - the wiki

Am I missing something? Before, you could target Deadwater Eel by fishing forest. Now you still have to fish forest for the highest probability, but it might be another fish on the hook when you reel in a T7 rare. This would make fishing worse, and I mean that in a mathematically-provable way.

Has any dev every commented on this, or given percentages? Has any testing on rares been done?

Chance to catch eels might've been reduced since it's not as easy to find them but if they sell for double the price I wouldn't necessarly call that a nerf for fishermen.
