I am not here to argue my ban or not. I am here to warn the community. As per Albion Online T&C §4.5.1 you can never trade or exchange a virtual benefit. As mentioned to me by the Albion Online Support. See e-mail quoted below. To make an example; you friend decides to quit (or not play the live version of Albion) and donates his virtual benefit to you. This makes you as a player bannable. Same for receiving contributions or donations from a guild. See quote from T&C 'If the User trades or exchanges Virtual Benefits on a large scale without a comparable value obtained within the Game, then it is assumed that the User violates this rule.' They finalize this paragraph with 'The User is entitled to provide counter-evidence.' Which means you as a player are always subject under the subjective review of the staff of the game. As no objective evidence can be provided.
Quote from Albion Online Support; Your account was permanently banned for being involved in 3rd party currency transactions. This is against our Terms and Conditions you have agreed upon. https://albiononline.com/en/terms_and_conditions §4.5.1 Users are prohibited from selling, purchasing, renting, leasing, offering, accepting, disseminating or copying Virtual Benefits, including Virtual Currency, within and/or outside the Game - in whatever form – to/from third parties unless expressly permitted by these Terms and Conditions or the Game Rules. An in game-system provided by the Game or by Sandbox Interactive to trade Virtual Benefits of the Game constitutes such an exception. In this case, the transfer of Virtual Benefits from one User to the other is only permitted if the transfer takes place - no matter if within or outside the Game – either without any form of consideration or with consideration if the consideration consists solely of Virtual Property or Virtual Currency of the Game and such is transferred within the Game itself or via a function provided by the Game. The acquisition of Virtual Benefits in exchange for any form of consideration other than Virtual Property or Virtual Currency of the Game is expressly prohibited. If the User trades or exchanges Virtual Benefits on a large scale without a comparable value obtained within the Game, then it is assumed that the User violates this rule. The User is entitled to provide counter-evidence.
My view and reply to this last e-mail;
I do not agree with the final decision. To be more clear, I have never purchased any gold from any identified gold seller. Please provide me evidence of the transaction I made as your suggesting in your e-mail below. As you state in §4.5.1 ‘Users are prohibited from selling, purchasing, renting, leasing, offering, accepting, disseminating or copying Virtual Benefits, including Virtual Currency, within and/or outside the Game - in whatever form – to/from third parties unless expressly permitted by these Terms and Conditions or the Game Rules.’
To be more precise; I bought for 100$ gold from the Albion Online store and I bought the legendary founder pack.
As previously stated, the virtual benefit I received from a player I knew for almost two years, who according to you today is an identified gold seller. I should not of trusted this trade neither should I of accepted this trade? Why was this allowed during the BETA(’s) while the same T&C’s were in place!? The player involved mentioned to me this was gold bought and received via the legendary founders pack. As he would not play the live version he wanted to donate this money to me, as we have been playing together for almost two years. To conclude what your saying; within Albion players are unable to make donations as they can never trade or exchange a virtual benefit while you as a game maker do allow these transactions. As you never know whether the player giving you the virtual benefit retrieved this legit or not. It’s crazy me as a player needs to suffer from flaws of the Albion Game.
Again I re-urge you to review the case again. For your information; I will highlight this on Reddit. As I think the community needs to be aware of the risks and flaws in the game today to which everyone in the game is exposed.
