[2021] Is crop farming worth it?

Hey guys, new(ish) to the game and one of the first things I did was level my island to tier 4 for the 3 farm plots and have been growing carrots ever since for some passive income.

The price of carrots has gone down since I started, because I assume this is the newbie thing everyone always does. So my question is now that my crop farming is at 60, is crop farming at all worth it? Should I try farming any of the other crops? Looking up the prices for some of the other higher tier crops around my level like potatoes and corn doesn’t seem to be much profit.

Should I switch to herbalism maybe for more profit, or is sticking with crop farming going to yield more later on?
